I'm not even finishing watching it, and all I have to say is they've done a great job at doing continuation. Bringing back all those Pegasus crew members and such makes it so much more of a rich experience. No wonder this show is so expensive to run, they really cast well.

    Great episode. As usual.

Nice to see Kara coming out of her depression. I've always been amazed at how this character seems to have four distinct personalities. Crazy painting Kara, Viper pilot/action hero Starbuck. Depressed and alcoholic Kara. Well-groomed, uniform-wearing Captian Thrace. She'a back to Starbuck in this episode. I "woohoo'd" when she kissed Lee.

I also "woohoo'd" out loud at that moment. Also when she shot the guy who had the gun pointed at Apollo I proclaimed, "Kill them all!!!"

I'm surprised that she didn't kill them, as they are all traitors, and won't hesitate to kill.

Man, I can't wait for next week!!! I saw the teaser for the next episode: President Roslin is going to kick some serious butt!!!

It's a nice touch that they don't have communicators handy so this coup could happen without immediate communications. You get a real sence of how isolated C&C is without it. Especially when the one directing the mutiny was in control of communications to the command center.

"I can do this all day!"

You're right. It's surprising that Kara didn't kill them all.

    "THEY ARE THE ENEMY!"

A bit of sobering advice from Kara. Sort of makes me wonder how serious Bill is when he threatened serious repercussions. I'm pretty convinced that while he'll say anything to get control over the situation, in the end, he won't want to reduce the human head-count.

When is that final switch going to flip in these final cylons giving back their memories and getting down to answering a few fundamental questions?

Kara touched on it. (or was it Kara, gotta watch it again) that both sides have been at war for as long as they can remember, but don't really question *why* they're at war.

Not many episodes left to get some of these answers.

Good episode Gaeta is doing well as the coup leader forget any initial issues with him being in the forefront. A little surprising Balthar didn't say something to save himself but really partitioned to save others. The action was intense I to am glad that Kara is getting back to Kara and not moping around all the time but I'm still hoping she's more than just another cyclon.

Now that I finished watching the episode ,and seeing next episodes's trailer.....can't seem to find my jaw.....

I think this was written to be the original mid season cliffhanger . Excellent story, very realistic. A real world reflection of how the Arabs and Jews will never reconcile despite the best of efforts.

egads..if every episodes of 4.5 keeps on going like this, I'll be lucky to find a tooth.

Yeah Geata and Zarek first by whatever method, Gloves are off. They need to stop been polite and just smoke those traitors! The only one I do feel sorry for cause either she┬┤s naive or got caught up in the moment cause she hasnt been that politically oriented and shadowy was my favorite raptor pilot Racetrack but the rest get rid of them by all means.

So every character ever invented in the Galacticaverse who is still alive chooses sides in the mutiny on Galactica. It's a bit sad to see who some of the mutineers are. Racetrack? Narcho? (Interesting thing, if Jane Espenson had made Narcho Gaeta's boyfriend as she considered doing before she realized they couldn't get the actor, they wouldn't have had the kind of break up at the end, because Narcho is all in with Gaeta's plot, while Hoshi is not)

I almost had forgotten how awesome Lee and Kara are when it's them against the world. And another point? Kara is a little terrifying. But still awesome. And it was nice to see Lee running around the ship with a gun again. I think that the political storyarc does work for him, but I like to see him back in his original role once in a while. Oh and I cheered when she kissed him too. And it was perfect. Was very much a "Shut up Lee, stop babbling, and lets go kick some ass, just me and you, like the old days" kiss. It was perfect. Tigh and Adama? Completely amazing. Not much more I can say to that. When they just take out the two marines? It was awesome.

Oh and can people maybe try not to talk about the preview for next week, because I know that there are definitely some people out there who don't watch them, and don't really want to know. Especially with this cliffhanger. It's a lot more intense not to know what will happen.

Holy... frak. That was awesome. In terms of action, this was the series best. Seeing everyone takes arms was just kind of cool. I love seeing Starbuck just poping caps in everyone. I also loved the tension. They let it built up and when it hit the fan, it goes everywhere! Although it was excellent, I was worried that the previous episode was an indication that they were transitioning from mythos to political molasses, which would have been very frustrating, but this was a pleasant surprise. I never thought I'd use the term nail-biting in a fully functioning sentence, but here I am, applying it to this episode. At times it was even kind of scary. We also get some familar faces such as that berk from Pegasus threaten to finish what Thorne started (I so hope he's the first get airlocked) and no suprise that Captain Kelly is on the mutiny.

At the same time, it was heartbreaking to watch. It's sad that so many we've watched suddenly turn on the Old Man like that. I loved Adama's speech about the consequences. I know he's always been soft on his crew, but I think his compassion drained quite quickly when they shoot poor Jaffee (they shot the messenger, damn near literally). The crap they pulled in the past was understandable, but the moment they killed their own, they crossed a serious line and it's a long way back from Hell. But then there was those times of loyalty from those who chose to stick by Adama like Tyrol ("the Old Man deserves a better fate"). And that last scene when they're readying for a standoff and Tigh and Adama have what may have been their last exchange of friendship was a perfect capper. It also shows how much Tigh's identity of a Cylon is forgotten in favour of remembering the Tigh he's known and stuck by him.

Observations: I wish the Colonials would understand that the Final Five Cylons are much different than the other Cylons. I want to know how they can logically put the blame of the destruction of the Twelve Colonies that happened about 4 years ago (or even the initial Cylon War that started about 50 years ago) on five who lived 2,000 years ago on Earth. I mean, I know you guys are pissed, but it wouldn't hurt to stop and think about that before you start throwing them in together.
Adama also has a line as he's being escorted away about there one day being a reckoning when it's all over with it. One can't help but notice the parallel to Gaeta's speech in "A Disquiet Follows My Soul". Coincidence or intention?
The teaser with the announcment that Tigh is dead. I feel it's best that we'll see that this isn't true in said episode. But I can't feel that it's annoying. They definitely dropped the ball with Cally's death for the teaser for "The Ties That Bind" and at worst/best they ruined Number Three's joke about Roslin being the last Cylon from "The Hub". The person who slaps these things together really needs to be kicked in the ass or maybe just fired.

Fantastic episode for several reasons: first, it let some of the main actors truly define what they stand for and who they are (Starbuck, Adama Sr.)
Second, keeping aside the fact that BSG is a drama that just happens to be in space, the adrenaline rush was much needed - this will certainly slap us in understanding this is the final run to the finish - and what a run!
Third, the little things and the big things: Starbuck killing mutineers, Gaeta's fine plan which had us clinging to the moment it would be outed, the final stand of Adama and Tigh...
And finally, another example of the human race having trouble with itself whether there are 7 billion of us or 40000.
I wonder if anyone will survive. I wonder if they should.
Thankfully, I get to be a part of the resolution in the weeks to follow :-)

Anyone notice in the cell that Caprica-six was comforting Hera? Sharon hardly seemed to notice. Sure she had Helo to worry about at the time, but here's the first indication that this six is endearing herself to Hera.

Six has always loved Hera - that's how she ended up on Galactica and in the brig. She was the one model concerned about Hera's well-being and not just for her as a symbol or bargaining chip. Plus, I think they are trying to show the Six as maternal, though personally I find her nattering on about the continuation of the Cylon race, etc. very creepy.

It also surprised me that the rebels didn't try to hurt her in such a way as to make her lose her baby.

I am worried about the Cylons in the brig. Thought it strange that Sol Tigh didn't seem at all concerned about his woman and unborn baby. Most people would be.

Don't fully get why Diane turned on Anders. Can you really hate someone that much because they never hooked up with you?

Why didn't Adama and Tigh get on the ship with Roslin? Had he done so, the complete oppositional government would be in place, not to mention the two sweethearts would be together. Is staying behind just a go-down-with-his-ship act?

Where did Lee and Starbuck and Tyrol go at the end of the ep? Are they on board the ship? I missed that.

Kudos to Tyrol, he was prepared with a network of people with walkies throughout the ship.

I really hope that neither Adama nor Tigh are dead, though I fear that at least Tigh is.

If the President had been less abstract and long winded with her speech maybe she could have made some sense before being cut off by Gaiuta. She should have talked about the mutiny and its architects - made that plain to the Colony delegates and the fleet.

This, coupled with anti-Cylon sentiment and being stirred up by Gaeta could be enough reason.

As for the episode, I loved it. Possibly in my top 5 episodes of all time, but I can't be sure until I rewatch the entire series.

And their all still absolute frakwits. If you look at the whole Pegasus timeline the only ones who aren't nuts are the original XO, Laird and Hoshi

I find in interesting that Baltar has yet again changed, and was actaully trying to convince geata to end his muntiy, rahter than trying to cut a deal to save himself. I think it shows that Baltar is either trying to repent for his past sins or is turely appaled by what geata is doing if not both.

I do find it interesting that Adama told tyrol, Lee and starbuck not to stay, but go back the way they had come. Which makes me think that Adama wanted to keep them alive and knew he might need them later.

Also i really wounder how much of the crew that is still alive truely supports geata, i suspect some them don't really know whats going on and are keeping their heads down so that they don't get killed.

With all that said its gona be one Wild Ride next week.

That was AWESOME!!! Fast paced and well done throughout. I was also glad to see Kara kicking some butt again. I also like that the best way to get Roslin really ticked is to threaten Adama, she seemed to snap out of her funk as soon as Lee told her he was at risk. How interesting is it that now for her survival she has to really on the cylons??

Neat twist having Conner working with Gaeta since Conner was part of the circle that was going to airlock him in "Collaborators". I can't wait for Gaeta and Zarek to pay the piper on this one!!

I also like the little humor moments with the reaction of Saul to Laura in Adama's quarters and the look on Lee and Starbuck's faces when Adama kissed her. Even with everything else going on it gave me a chuckle.

Anders was already with Starbuck when he arrived, exactly how stupid is Selix?
They're career military officers and wouldn't leave their ship; they also probably believe they stand more chance fighting then getting back on board
