One more episode and we're back on hiatus again. Let's hope this season finale will be another shocker like last season's.

Its ok, I have the carbonite chamber ready to go. As soon as the season ends, I'm pulling a Solo until July.

Uhh, a little bad news here. GateWorld is reporting that the Season Three premiere is now scheduled for October. Yes, you read that right. Sci Fi Channel made the announcement today. The Stargate shows will still begin their new seasons in July as usual.

Just three hours to go before the 2nd part of the season finale. Remember that this is a 90-minute episode, especially if you are recording it. Some DVRs may record the 90 minutes automatically, but double check it. People will have to set their VCRs manually.

I just watched "Downloaded" today. One of the best episodes of the series! Now I'm going to watch part 1 of the season finale. Good timing too since I will only have to wait an hour or two before seeing the 2nd part.

This episode just finished airing in the East, and I'm not sure if I'd rate it as sucking or blowing. Maybe both...

Somehow it just kept going downhill, and that last 15 minutes made no sense at all. If their goal was to end the show, why say it's coming back in October?

Oh well... All good things must come to an end. (possibly)

Why do you think their goal was to end the show?

I personally think that the events of tonight opened up millions of new ways for the story to go. I'm also very interested to know how enslaving humanity has to do with the new Cylon plan as proposed by Six and Sharon. If the Cylons truly wanted to go their own way, then why track down the humans? But then again, maybe it was all Six and Sharon could do to get the Cylons to spare what was left of humanity rather than just showing up on New Caprica and annihilating them.

That said, I thought the episode was very well done. It simply amazed me that they were able to so perfectly highlight how much MORE miserable these people are on New Caprica. Just when you thought their lives couldn't get any more depressing...

Also, the whole idea of the fleet leaving the people of New Caprica was a nice twist and something that I would have never expected Adama to do.

All in all, it was a pretty shocking 90 minutes, and I'm definitely disappointed that I'll have to wait until October to see what happens next.

Yes I felt the same way... The pace of the show went too crazy towards the end. I kept thinking that it would all be one big dream if you know what I mean. There is going to be lots of back stories that is for sure if this is actually happen. I wonder where sharon went? Okay if the preist was number 2 or 3 who is going to be number one? I sure hope it is a doozy.

I think they did a great job of setting us up for season 3. I felt the religious tone of the show was maintained with Balthar's depravity and the others slothfulness. Turning into a living hell and as six said judgement day. I didn't like the priest being a cylon thought that was too easy and i'm intrigued at how the cylons think enslaving humanity will fit their plan. It was funny how everyone turned to crap in the downtime except for Dee. The fleet jumping was incredible I thought for sure we'd see the Admirals preparing for attack at the close of the credits. I just hope the show stays on scifi where all these plot devices can be fully explored.

Yeah I was pretty stunned when they did the whole "One Year Later" thing. That's a LOT of time to jump past. However, seeing as there weren't any Cylon attacks in that time, watching the whole year would likely have been pretty boring. I'm also pretty sure that Season Three will go back and explore some of that time lapse.

It was nice to have the instant gratification of seeing what became of the human settlement, though.

    I loved it.

Having them settle opens up so many doors as opposed to the old "going through space. see cylons. run." routine that has been the entire focus of the first two seasons.

And with the civilians on the planet, and the military jumping away, it opens up some potentially complex story for next season. I can't wait.

because i saw a dozen or so ships with Galactica when it jumped that not everyone wanted to settle on New Caprica. Tell if me if I'm wrong.
I hate season finales because they live so many questions:
are the cylons going to find the baby? what happened between apollo and thrace? where did the cylons go after leaving Caprica?

Another question: if the former president didn't agree with settlement, then why is she on the planet?

I really should stop watching for a year. that way i can watch the seasons on dvd and not wait until november!

This episode made me feel a lot of things. Disapppointed, confused, surprised. I'm not sure whether or not this was a good thing or not but it has happened.

Also, this is a lot like the current event in the DC comic universe. They're having a "One Year Later" thing also.

i saw it say something like New Caprica, pop. 39,xxx. There were 49,550 souls searching for Earth in the intro (I just noticed about 6 or 7 episodes ago that the number is updated for every opening; I knew Roslin kept her whiteboard updated, didnt know the opening sequence changed too). So ya, there are about 10,000 ppl in orbit still.

A school teacher at heart. She's still alive and has a lot more to do. That's her nature I guess. Who better to run that tent school than the former President & Secretary of Edumacatio? And just because you think something is a bad idea doesn't mean you won't go along with it. The people were going, she probably felt she'd best serve the fleet if she went too

---Don't forget... People died in the Cloud 9 explosion too. And there wouldn't be a HUGE population explosion (poor choice of word) in 380 days.

i think kara and the guy got married and wanted to settle, and so she left the military, so that probably caused problems with adama and people who stayed.

nother thing, if the cylons left caprica, why not just go back there...

OMG What an ending to a season! I mean so much happened this episode. I was especially shocked by the one year later thing and the rigging of the votes that was ok'd by roslin. It was kind of nice seeing where everyone had settled after everything that had happened and how live although hard seemed to be at peace for the most part.

What really saddenned me was how much apollo and starbuck had drifted away from each other during that time. Two best friends and perhaps something else losing touch with each other. There was also the getting together of Chief Tyrol and Specialist Cally. I bet the fans were going nuts when that happenned. ( me being one of them) Favortite Line of the episode.

    Priest: I'm not a cylon (see's drifter)
    " Oh nevermind"

Thing that saddens me though is in the new season are we going to see the return of any of the extra's like the galactica pilots "race track" " Hot Dog" "Kat" or is the show going in such a different direction that we aren't going to have any use for them.

One things for sure we probably aren't going to have too many dead spots this next season like we did in this one.

What the hell! They are back at the begining again! First of all, the entire episode was a snoozer. Everytime I thought it was about to get good (Like when the election was rigged) nothing happened. Everything throughout the episode was anticlimactic to say the least. And then at the end, the Cylons attack, and they are right back where they started in season one. Cylons attack, Humans are divided, Fleet fights Cylons in space, resistance fights cylons on the planet. Mix and repeat. I guess it's true that those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it.

This will be seven, really, really long months.

And did anyone else find Tyrol and Cally getting together extremely cute?
