honestly i thought the way season 2 ended was a bit of a let down. I don't mind that humans have settles down. What i do mind is the ridiculousness of baltar's presidency. Another thing is the low state of readyness of the battle fleet after ome year- no offense- but after what i'm presuming is 99% of humanity is exterminated- people just decided to relax on security? how screwed up is that? wouldn't people restock the two battlestars as much as possible before getting back to normal life?- they know that the psylons can jump much further and there is a chance of them exploring the nebula- they certainly hold a vast area of space- as evidenced by the asteroid mine which they reached after how many jumps?. what about the 12 psylon models? would u settle down knowing there could be psylon spies in your midst? tat said- this will open a host of new plot possibilities. yes geurilla tactics etc seem awesome, as would the ground based fighting etc. But the space crawl has a lot more juice in it too- although with less soap opera tactics. Maybe one episode dedicated to building a new fleet of vipers, and training equipment (note these ideas can also be used anyways in the 3rd season so please go ahead and use them!!). The idea of longer jumps was touched on earlier- but a cool new facet would use of military engineering. another episode on the FTL drives themselves- fictional physics discussions to be kept to a reasonable minimum- the focus could be on making longer jumps for the bigger ships using the psylon tech. taking this idea further, the pegasus took all useful civilians- how about some biologists to figure out the new psylon bodies/ technology. Physicists and mathematicians to figure out new navigation. possible sources for nukes for the battlestars themselves etc. Chemists/ metalurgists, computer specialists, engineers etc, to help the building of new ships to accomodate needs for the fleet. If the go back to caprica- could they take on a hotel ship etc- convert it into a farming vessel? or construction/ repair vessels that can be used to build new ships too? how about some proper robotic scouts- i mean these should exist in the future rite? its not like in andromeda where the ship can only be piloted ftl with a live pilot? maybe capture and reuse psylon fighters? or remote control- could be used of kamakazies? would like to see some nice mission planning sessions tat did not use the traditional 2-d layout of modern day ground battles- this is space- use 3 dimensional charts etc- but tat costs money for special effects so i dunno a designed virus that attacks the psylon's bio-systems only? maybe proper psylon detection programmes- and search and destroy mission inside one fo the two battlestars? disguises for existing psylon models? u know having the same haircolor etc does make one seem kinda obvious... if more military vessels- one more battlestar or a smaller military vessels ( i'm sure there must be other classes of vessels- unless battlestar is a synonym with military spacecraft.) are introduced- won't a a lot of the civilian population want to join to increase their odds of survival? if so- how about some basic training routines for the new recruits. hmm maybe someone should start a thread on suggestions- pile up the whole list and send them to the writers- i mean no harm done rite? if they want they can take a look. just on suggetsion- keep it short- not like me!! they will not have time to read all suggestions from peeps. ok then my first and probably last post ends! w00t! p.s. feel free to copy and paste my suggestions in the ew thread! tats why i posted tem... to be used....

    Hey Gang,

Well I can understand the frustration with the end of the Season (personally I think that kind of frustration is what tends to draw the viewers back, we end up wanting to have our curiosity satisfied even if we are a little ticked).

Anyways, I see no reason for this signifying the end of the show. There are so many possibilities...and sure there are some glitches and loopholes here and there. But look at Real History, even a few years later we can find ourselves asking, why didn't we make that choice etc.

Long live BSG, Long live Starbuck! Die Baltar Die!

    OK...add on here...

I just plowed through this entire thread...and there were lots of questions about my favourite topic, Captain Kara Thrace...

As far as her relationship with Lee, well I think we saw the first moments of its dissolution in the 'drinking scene' in the officers quarters. Kara obviously was completely over stressed, and went waaaaayy overboard with Lee in that moment. Heck if my best friend behaved that way around me I'd be a might bit enraged! I can only assume that this behaviour doesn't let up...maybe there was an additional blow-up, but somehow I think Lee was actually truly in love Kara...

When unrequited love goes stale, things usually get ugly...

Also, I think since Kara already lost Zak, there was no way she was gonna let Anders go (despite that I believe deep down she knows she belongs with Lee)...

Also somebody mentioned the size/age of Boomer's baby. I did take note of that, having a nephew the same age as the baby in the show...there is a huge disparity there!

    OK, rant over...more later!

    I'm a Kara fan too.
I can't really participate in this debate here though - unfortunately. The reason is where I live, so far only season 1 has been aired.
I can't wait to see Season 2... I think I will be getting it from Amazon UK, as I will need Region code 2 DVDs to play it. So that means I'll have to wait till some time in August because that's when it's going to be available.

I have read SOME spoilers though to be honest (spoilers regarding season 2 and the finale LDYB). As for Leoben looking for Kara, somehow I don't think he's looking for revenge but maybe he wants to thank her for praying for his soul (back in the S. 1 episode "Flesh and Bone"). I really liked whatever it was they had together, and I'm hoping we'll get to see more Leoben in the future.

i've hated Baltar and his imaginary cylon from day 1. A lot of people have seen him talking to himself and acting crazy, and yet they see no danger to his insanity and they still elect him president. they should have institutionalized him a long time ago. they're all idiots if you ask me. by the way, does anyone know why cylon 6 also sees an imaginary Baltar?

Has anyone thought that maybe Baltar is a cylon. Could 6's body realy protect him from that kind of blast. If he was a cylon, the blast could have merged their consciencness (or what ever gets transfered to the next body). This would account for both of them having visions of the other.

Are they showing the reruns at all? I can't believe we have till October for BSG. Reading the forum just makes me want to rewatch the episodes.

I think Alicehere, and people like "her?" give up to easy. If things don't go exactly how the want it the give up. In life you have to be flexiable. New and different can be fun. Even if something is a little stale, give it a chance it might actually have a new favor after all. "she?" will probably be disappointed with 4400, by now, forum there had people complaining about the first couple episodes. Sucks to be her if that was all that was left good.

I'm really looking forward to the possiblities of BSG season 3.
