    I was about to start watching this, but in season 1, episode 1 they referred to something that had already happened. Is this a sequel to something? I've seen Caprica, but none of the other BGs...

    Before season 1 there is a 2 part miniseries... about an hour and a half each... so there is a 3 hour event to watch before season 1
