I love Starbuck, but I have a real soft spot for Boomer so that's where my vote is going.

I agree 100%. As much as I like Starbuck, I voted for Boomer.

Classic! Hehheh. I voted Boomer too. Dee - Didn't like what she did to Billy. Starbuck - as Lee said, the best pilot, but a screwup. Roslin - she's a politician for goodness sakes, what more against her do you need... :p; Number 6 - sociopathic. But very hot :p

Yikes...a little biased there Moby. As far a politicians go, for the most part they have horrid, stressful, thankless jobs; spending their every waking hour trying to keep the peace, maintain a thriving people and look into the future to ensure survival.

Roslin, in my opinion was just that. Don't let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. Just because our modern leaders are letting us down doesn't mean we need to give up hope in those chosen to guide us...

I like Laura Roslin.  She is very convicted in her beliefs and doesn't back down because of anyone, not Tom Zarek and not William Adama.  She always sticks to her guns and she knows how to get things done when the time comes.  Unlike that idiot Gaius Baltar.  Don't really like him anymore seeing as how he basically caused the capture of New Caprica.

I chose between Laura and Starbuck and ended up giving my vote to Starbuck. They are both well rounded characters with strong personalities. Laura uses a more intellectual power while Starbuck uses her physical power. I think this is what tips the scale. It's much more fun looking at Starbuck behaving like a stereotypical alpha-male, fighting and drinking than looking at Laura negotiating and plotting.

Without a doubt, my vote goes to Laura Roslin. While she may not be as physically strong as Six or Starbuck, she is undoubtedly a steel magnolia. Despite her initial qualms, she stepped up as President of the Colonies and has since demonstrated shining qualities: Laura is intelligent, eloquent, warm, vulnerable, compassionate yet tough and ruthless when she needs to (putting people out of the airlock) and her presence in the fleet gives a humanitarian voice amidst those of the military; one representative of the people. To top that, she has had to combat terminal breast cancer and cope with the myriad events that happen within the fleet.

Kudos to Mary McDonnell for such an outstanding portrayal of this amazing character. Roslin 2008!
