Last night, several hours before seeing the new episode of Galactica it came to my attention that the latest episode had already aired several days before it aired in the US, in the UK. I was just wondering, does this mean that episodes will continue to be aired this way? Three days in advance? Like, is next weeks episode going to be aired this Wednesday first?

Please, I'm a little confused here.

The U.S./U.K. schedules became misaligned when the Sci Fi Channel skipped a week because of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The next two episodes will also air in the U.K. first, unless they take a break for some unknown reason.

Yep, they'll continue to air this way. In Hindsight I bet Sci-Fi are kicking themselves, because While they may have lost some viewers to the holiday, they're going to lose a lot more to this. I know I myself am not going to be waiting until Friday when I can see it on wednesday, and I'm sure many others feel the same way.

There may be an agreement in place that specifies that episodes are supposed to air in the U.S. first. It makes sense since the Sci Fi Channel provides all the production funding for this season.

Well, that sucks. I had my hopes up of being able to watch the show in high definition on Wednesday. I hate watching it on the "space" channel, the sound quality is horrible and it's standard definition. Oh well, though. Better than nothing.
