A friend of mine works with Sci-Fi who told me about a cool promotion they're doing involving free pizza. If you live in Manhattan or West Hollywood and order a pizza over the phone during the premiere, you can get a free pizza. He says you have to say "I want to order a frakking pizza!" then the pizza person will ask "How long has Starbuck been gone?" I imagine the answer to that will be given in the premiere.

That's pretty much all he told me except that 16 pizza places were participating in NY, 14 in LA, and the pizza comes in a special BSG brand box! Only 1,000 pizzas are being given out, so I may or may not be interested in getting one of those boxes as a collector's item, but alas I'm in DC!

I think yelling "I want a frakkin pizza" over the phone would be rewarding enough, but a free pizza thats just awesome.

one more reason why BSG is amazing.

I swear, it's the real deal! I found a list of pizza places in LA:

I wouldn't trick you guys! As far as Manhattan, there should be posters in the participating pizza places, so it's worth checking out.

It does indeed work. I just called NY PIzza in Los Angeles on Santa Monica - asked for my frakking pizza, answered a question (How long has Starbuck been gone? A: 2 months) and I'm going to pick up my free pizza shortly.

Yummy. Of course it will be GONE by 10 PM, but hey I don't care.

    Damn.
    Americans have all the fun.

    Free BSG memorabilia AND pizza?
Although the box would get all oily, I suppose.

How could your Pizza be gone by 10 PM when the premiere airs? considering you have to watch the episode in order to find out the answer? means your either lieing or you got the answer way before the episode airs!

I think Sci Fi Channel had an early premiere of the episode on its website around 12 noon on Friday before the episode was supposed to air on TV. So, you could get the answer, order the pizza, and eat it before the episode ever aired on TV.

Why would I lie about such a thing? Clips from the show had aired weeks in advance, and one of them actually contained the answer to the question, plus it wasn't that hard to begin with.

We picked up our Pizza right after work and it was indeed eaten by 7 PM. I still have the box though, and it's in pristine condition.
