I wonder what it is about me and tough, but sexy, military women, like Michelle Rodriguez' parts in Resident Evil and SWAT or Shane Vansen in Space: Above and Beyond.
Anyways, Starbuck pretty much rules the whole damn lot there. She's not even just my favourite character in BSG, but also THE favourite character, full stop. I don't think that's the whole story either. BSG's Cat is a pretty tough woman too, but I just found her to be deeply annoying. I mean, insubordinate to STARBUCK!? No way I could let that pass. Strange..
Anyways, I'll say it again; Starbuck for president!

glad to see a guy who respects a kick-@ss miltary chick.

    *screams* WOOOOO! GO STARBUCK!

I agree there is a certain fascination with these strong powrful military women. The juxtaposition just draws a persons attention...

if it wasn`t against the religion of lara-ism, i`d blush. so many people like military women.

As there are other worthy alternatives, this should more properly be phrased, "Who is your favorite among these five characters?" Many reviewers ackowledge that Tricia Helfer and Grace Park have had the most difficult tasks in creating non-humans passing as human and adding subtle variations among individual versions of their models. On the other hand, this series would not exist without the commanding performances of Mary McDonnell and Edward James Olmos.

Keep in mind Quote, this has to do with favourite character. That means the character you enjoy the most. Not neccessarily the one with the most merit etc. I completely agree that ALL the show's cast is pretty fabulous. I just happen to feel a certain kinship with Starbuck, which has made her my virtually instant favourite!!

Oh, Home...I know you love it. My psuedo predictability where one Kara Thrace is concerned!

To tell you the trusth, I might be a little afraid of anybody who felt a kinship with Baltar!!!

Thats ok Sterling, lots of people get that persona from me. Its just who I am. I enjoy dark characters. I think it because I'm mostly nocturnal.

    From that rather poor choice:

    End of last season:

    Adama
    Starbuck
    Tigh
    Sharon Apollo

    This season so far:

    Tigh
    Adama
    Apollo
    Sharon
    Starbuck

    Favourite 10 Characters altogether now:

    Tigh
    Cheif
    Baltar
    Adama
    Roslin
    D'Anna
    Cavil
    Six
    Zarek
    Gaeta

I like the Chief charactor, The boss of the mechanic crew. I really enjoyed the episode where he built that cool black Viper from scratch.

The characters are really the heartbeat of the show...in virtually every case there is something loveable about each character (even the some of the Cylons, but not Baltar)...HEHE...

Saul really deserves some more votes for holding the resistance together.

absolutely. saul tigh has come into his own and i have a lot of admiration and respect for him. he had to earn it though. it wasnt as though he was someone like roslin or adama who knew what they were doing as soon as they were introduced. when we first saw adama we knew he was well respected.
and that scene in the mini when laura was introduced, the way the camera paned around her sitting in her chair in a commanding way, we knew she was important. i like those characters but saul has earned my respect for his character, so in some ways i like him more than the other two (and thas big cuz i love laura)

That rather surprises me, as Tigh seems to be losing it pretty bad this season. He's never had that good a grasp of reality, and now what he had seems to be flying right out the window. Give me Sharon anyday. Much as I like all the characters, 'specially Starbuck, it's Boomer who really grabs me. She's had her entire world ripped from her numerous times, and still comes back fighting for what's right because of a reasoned decision. Pretty powerful stuff.
