Saving Private Ryan Tyrol fires at the Cylons with a pistol until they blow up in a spectacular explosion. He is surprised and thinks that he caused the explosion until he sees the Raptor overhead that fired a missile. The scene is similar to the climactic scene in the movie Saving Private Ryan. Tom Hanks' character, Capt. Miller, desperately fires his pistol at a tank until it blows up. Miller thinks he caused the tank to explode until he sees that a plane overhead dropped a bomb on the tank. The similarity is probably not coincidental as the director of this episode, Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, served as first assistant director for Saving Private Ryan.
