In Laura Roslin's classroom, we see her blackboard, which has the schematic of a wormhole. This is reminiscent of the "blackboard" in Keiko O'Brian's classroom on Deep Space Nine, which contained a detailed schematic of the Bajoran wormhole. Ronald D. Moore served as supervising producer on Deep Space Nine.
Unlike previous episodes, this episode did not feature a traditional "teaser." It opened with the "Previously on BSG" segment and then went immediately to the main titles and music. Ronald Moore and David Eick explained on the podcast that this was necessary because of the length of the opening segment. If it had come before the main titles, that would have pushed the opening credits to about the 12 minute mark of the episode.
There are now 49,550 survivors.
When Maya, the new 'mother' of Sharon and Helo's cylon baby, picks up the cylon baby at the end of the episode she takes it out of a white crib.
The white crib is the same crib that was seen in Baltars vision in 'Kobol's Last Gleaming Pt2' and 'Scattered' when Six showed him the face of the future - their baby.
Leah Cairns' character is mistakenly listed in the end credits as "Lt. Margaret 'Racetrack' Edmonds." The character was listed as Margaret 'Racetrack' Edmonson during the "Final Cut" episode (2-08). In other episodes, the character is listed simply as "Racetrack."
The name of the newsletter that Baltar is reading is "The News-Review."

After the insurgents break through the vent and enter the garage, the first two cars they see are a Rover P6 and a Citroën DS, both of which were discontinued in the 1970s.
The car that Anders survives under has a Caprica license plate that reads SEXYMOM. It also has a bumper sticker that reads C BUCKS RULE. We can assume the C stands for Caprica.
As of the beginning of this episode, there are 49,579 survivors in the fleet.
This episode reveals that among the twelve human Cylon models, individual Cylons exhibit different personalities and behaviors.

First time we see a Battlestar use forward cannons. In the past, we have only seen them fight using cannons/turrets on its sides.

As of the beginning of this episode, there are 49,584 survivors in the fleet, six fewer than at the beginning of the previous episode.
We learn that the Galactica and Pegasus crewmen have nicknamed Pegasus as 'The Beast' and Galactica as 'The Bucket'.
Lee Adama is promoted from Major to Commander in this episode, and given command of the Pegasus.
When Admiral Adama asks Lt. Gaeta who "they have" on Cloud Nine, Gaeta reports that Captain Adama, a handful of marines and Starbuck are aboard, but he fails to mention Petty Officer Dualla.
