  • Season 3 Episode 20: Crossroads, Part 2

  • After the conversation between Tigh and Adama regarding the music that Tigh was hearing, Tigh says, "There's too much confusion" and "There must be some kind of way out of here." These are lines from "All Along the Watchtower," the song that is featured in this episode.

  • Season 3 Episode 19: Crossroads, Part 1

  • Before Lampkin questions Tigh, he discusses Tigh with Baltar and Lee at the table. Lampkin holds a glass of water that is about two-thirds full. As the camera view shifts, the glass is only one-third full. Lampkin did not have time to drink any water in that fraction of a second.

  • At the beginning of Baltar's trial, President Roslin is seated next to Tory, behind the prosecutor's table, but after the camera focus moves around the courtroom and returns, Roslin is no longer there.

  • Season 3 Episode 18: The Son Also Rises

  • As Admiral Adama reads Kara Thrace's personnel record, the 'Record of Disciplinary Proceedings' document reads:

    ------------------
    COLONIAL FORCES
    RECORD OF DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS

1a. NAME OF ACCUSED: THRACE, Kara

xxx xxx proceeding held on 22/E4/7F3. The summary court martial gave the accused a copy of the charge sheet.

  • As Admiral Adama reads Kara Thrace's personnel file, the second disciplinary notices reads:

    COLONIAL FORCES TRAINING COMMAND
0890-987897 SUBJECT: PRIVATE KARA THRACE, PILOT TRAINER

    DISCIPLINARY NOTICE

Private Kara Thrace continues to display a negative attitude in her training requirements. Despite good to excellent scores for both small arms and rifle drills, we request that the Private be denied all leave and be confined to quarters until the next cycle of training.

Further we request that the officer in command remind Private Thrace that she is to obey orders when they are delivered, salute superior officers, and display the proper amount of respect to all of her superior officers.
This includes Sergeant Mike Gibbons, who is the noncommissioned officer who initiated this complaint.

xxx xxx hope of this officer, and the other officers in xxx xxx xxx facility, that Private Thrace can adjust xxx xxx xxx xxx the level of technical scores she xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx be a shame if such a talented xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx because of a problem xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx xxx command.
    --------------

It should be noted that Thrace is referred to as a private in this document. In the first disciplinary notice, she is also referred to as a corporal and a lieutenant.

  • As Admiral Adama reads through Kara's personnel record, the first disciplinary notice reads:

    COLONIAL FORCES TRAINING COMMAND
    DISCIPLINARY NOTICE

Lieutenant Kara Thrace is charged with:
    Assault on a superior officer
Drunk and disorderly conduct while on leave
Disobeying a direct order from a superior officer
    Absent from duty without leave

Corporal Thrace is charged with the above offenses. It should be noted that there is a string of verbal reprimands and notices over the past seven cycles.

Lieutenant Thrace states that while she is guilty of none of the above-mentioned charges she only wishes to challenge the AWOL charge. She points out that her 'self-assigned' duty has resulted in the destruction of a Cylon vessel and that she has received a commendation from the action.

Despite this it is the opinion of this disciplinary commission that Lieutenant Thrace should be disciplined under xxx xxx xxx xxx Military Code (Section 969-0898).
    ------------------

It should be noted that Thrace's rank changes between corporal and lieutenant in this document. In another of the disciplinary notices read by Adama, she is also referred to as a private.

  • During the opening credits, when we see glimpses of the episode's scenes, we can clearly see Baltar tossing away his mattress in search of something. However, this scene was not used in the episode's final cut.

  • According to the Record of Disciplinary Proceedings in her personnel file, Kara served on the Battlestar Triton when she was a JrLt.

  • Season 3 Episode 17: Maelstrom

  • When Starbuck looks into the cockpit of her viper and begins to have a series of flashbacks, one of the images was of her mother smoking a cigarette. As seen in a closeup of the ashtray, the cigarette butt in the center of the pile is a Marlboro Ultra Light.

  • Kara's mother Socrata lived in an apartment in Caprica City during her retirement. Kara's apartment was located in Delphi, a different city located on Caprica.

Delphi was the location of the Museum of the Colonies, home of the Arrow of Apollo, which Kara recovered in "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part 2," the Season One finale. The ancient Greek city on Earth was the home of the oracle of Apollo.

The name of the Greek city is usually pronounced in the United States as [del-fahy]. However, in this episode Delphi is pronounced as [del-phee], the pronunciation commonly used in most European countries.

  • Season 3 Episode 16: Dirty Hands

  • After a Raptor crashes into Colonial One, President Roslin relocates her office to an undamaged part of the ship. She says to Adama that she will have to stay there for "God knows how long" rather than "Gods know how long."

  • According to Ronald Moore, this episode was originally going to focus on Lt. Dualla ("Dee") and the continuation of the Sagittaron story from "The Woman King" episode.

  • When Baltar takes the book notes from his underwear, he's still wearing his pants. But a moment later, he is seen wearing only his underwear.

  • Aerelon seems to have an accent that very closely resembles the dialect of the people of Yorkshire (northern England).

  • Caprica, Tauron and Picon are described as being affluent and desirable colonies before the initial Cylon attack. Aerelon, Sagittaron and Gemenon were considered to be somewhat backward. Their members faced disdain and discrimination from members of other colonies.

  • Season 3 Episode 15: A Day in the Life

  • Goof: Admiral Adama's collar goes back and forth from being tightly buttoned to hanging open when he's talking with Lee in the pilot briefing room.

  • Narcho notes that the Cylons haven't been seen in 49 days.

  • Season 3 Episode 12: Rapture (2)

  • Season 3 Episode 11: The Eye of Jupiter (1)

  • The 13th tribe's exodus occurred about 4,000 years ago, at about the same time the Temple of Five was built.

  • Season 3 Episode 10: The Passage

  • When Baltar and D'Anna/Number Three talk about Jupiter, the closed-captioning subtitles refer to Zeus instead.
