According to Jessie, 80% of what LA lifeguards do is look after lost kids on the beach.
Jason: Where do you come up with stuff like this? JD: Saw it in a movie.
Allie: Jessie, why is everything with you a competition? Jessie: Me? You're just as bad! Allie: I am not! Jessie: Yes, you are. You hate to lose. What about that card game with Kekoa and Jason? Allie: Cards are different.
JD: (wearing a skintight suit) When you see how much faster I go, you'll want one. Jason: I doubt it.
Dawn: They either get me for negligence, dereliction of duty, or perjury, and either way my reputation as a lifeguard, which is the only thing I truly treasure, is ruined.
JD: How sad. Jessie: Why do you say that? JD: Because there's so little passion left between us, you can't even get angry.
Dawn: You know, you try to tell the truth. But sometimes, someway, somehow, you know there's a place where the truth will hurt an innocent person. Sean: So you tell an untruth. Dawn: And you wait for it to come and get you because you know it will, you just don't know when.
Jessie: See, Sean, what you're gonna learn through this whole thing is that the harder you try to make us crack, the tighter we get. You can't discourage us and you can't beat us.
