There´s a major continuity error in this episode. When Jessie and J.D. are talking in his and Cody´s apartment, he mentions that Cody has gone home to Indiana for his mother´s birthday. But in the 6th season opener "Trapped Beneath the Sea", we find out that Cody´s parents died in the Midwest floods.

Hobie try's out to become a Lifeguard. As we all know through the series he has always been a JR lifeguard. However so were his friends Connor and JB, so why is it they didn't try out, since practically every summer since they were 10 they did JR guards with Hobie. They even helped out with younger JR guards in season 7.
