BBC Atlas of the Natural World: Land of the Eagle is a television series dedicated to the history of North America. This BBC original series takes a look at the continent from a number of different perspectives including those of the Native Americans as well as the European settlers who would migrate there. Originally there was no interest at all in the new world, but settlers eventually began to acknowledge the availability of land and natural resources there during the sixteenth century. The series discusses the settlement and industrialization of America and documents the tragic plight of the natives, as their numbers and land began to dwindle.
