BBC Television Shakespeare's production of "Macbeth" is directed by Jack Gold and stars Nicol Williamson as Macbeth and Jane Lapotaire as Lady Macbeth. Ambitious and scheming Lady Macbeth convinces her husband, a general, to murder the king of Scotland in order to fulfill a prophecy that he will become king. Macbeth is racked with guilt and begins to hallucinate, but he must continue to kill in order to hold his power.moreless
