BCS National Championship

Show Summary

BCS National Championship is the last bowl game of the annual Bowl Championship Series (BCS) and is intended to determine the National Champion of the **** Division I Football. Since 1998, The two participants are the two highest ranked football teams at the end of the college football season, currently determined by averaging the results of the final weekly USA Today Coaches' Poll, Harris Interactive Poll of media, former players and coaches, and the average of six participating Computer rankings. The BCS National Championship is rotated amongst 4 different venue and locations. The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. The Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida (Orange Bowl). The Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana (Sugar Bowl). And finally the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona (Fiesta Bowl). Though immersed in controversy, the BCS National Championship game is the most coveted sport of any sport in college athletics.

  • I won't like college football a lot until there's a playoff, but this game is still a fulfilling end to the football season.

The BCS is screwed up. How they determine who plays in the National Championship Game is stupid. They need an 8/16-team playoff so all types of teams - the 1-or-2-loss teams playing in tough conferences, and the undefeated teams playing in horrible conferences, get a chance to prove themselves. However, this game annually does provide a good three hours of football. I'm not looking forward to it 2012, I don't think two teams from the same conference deserve to be in to win it all. But hey, what can you do but send formal complaints that get ignored to the BCS?moreless
