Benjamin Franklin from Episode 38 (Benjamin Franklin and Chemical Reactions) does the Challenge Advisory.
This episode marks the return of "Scratchy the Chicken," aka Lester's right hand.
Beakman: Phoebe, clear the air with a question, please.
Phoebe: Deodorizing!
Beakman: So, pigs, hogs and swine are all called the same thing.
Lester: (holding a piglet) Mostly good eating.
Beakman: Lester, not in front of the children.
Beakman: And do you know why they roll in mud?
Lester: Because they can?
Beakman: But as we know from experience, they can smell like a pig.
Lester: Oh, Beakey, you flatter me!
Beakman: My brain is scanning for a question. Click on a letter, Phoebe.
Phoebe: Spell-check this one, Geek-Man.
Lester (imitating a Blues Brother): Y'know, I remember back in '58, me and Sunny Boy was playin' a juke joint on the South Side. Woo! We was testifyin' that night!
Beakman: Sounds like perjury to me!
Phoebe: Let's Get Physical! It's time.... to I.D. your ideas! Here he is... The orthodontist of the organ, the periodontist of the peripheral, the A. Whitney Brown of the Never-A-Frown... The one, the only, the Beakman!
Beakman: You rake them, I'll bake them. Let's funky turkey!
This episode probably features a piglet puppet instead of the real thing because a live one would have made too much noise to be handled for taping.
Beakman only gets one question and fact out in Beakmania before the challenge.
Lester's style during the sound frequency segment (and the closing song) is based on The Blues Brothers, the famous 1980 film. Senta Moses (Phoebe) was a dancing extra in that movie.
A. Whitney Brown (mentioned in Beak-mania intro) is a comedian probably best known for his recurring appearance on Saturday Night Live in the 1980s.
