What an amazing way to close out not only a series but an entire universe. There is a lot of sadness in this ending but there is also a lot of joy knowing that things will continue to evolve and the battle of good and evil is finally over for the Cybertronians.
  • After the final battle, Cybertron is saved once more & been reformatted into techno-organic planet, so does the cybertronians are back to their bodies. Now peace is restore once more to the universe. If you think Beast Machines was over, think again! You'moreless

though it is painfull tosee Optimus die perminatly it is also a great way to end so long a saga. With the two age old rivals laid to rest and a planet finally attaining stability. Though the other main charectors dont play so big a part it is still an excelent climax to the transformers saga.

    • Silverbolt: The menace has passed. At last, we can truly be together, dark venom of my heart.
Blackarachnia: Of all the corny ... (she leans in to kiss him)

    • Optimus: Forget it Megatron. I won't let you destroy Cybertron.
Megatron: Destroy it? I'm recreating it. In my image.

    • Rattrap: But... where's Botanica?
(Botanica pops up from the ground in front of Rattrap)
      Botanica: Someone call my name?
Rattrap: Botanica! (leaps up and the two embrace in a hug; Cheetor gives them a look) So I'm a treehugger! Deal with it!

  • NOTES (5)

    • In one of the sadder cases involving the Transformers fandom, writer Bob Skir received so many death threats via e-mail over his work on Beast Machines, that he has refused to show his face at any type of Transformers convention.

    • The original script for this episode included a scene with Obsidian and Strika in which they decided against reformatting and remained machines as their punishment for siding with Megatron.

    • The series finale.

    • Throughout the series, Optimus Primal's motto has been, "the seeds of the future lie buried in the past." During the course of the series, Optimus gave many possible definitions for this obscure mantra, and while it is not actually stated in this episode, another is given that may just be the true meaning - Optimus and Megatron are the seeds, and by plunging themselves into Cybertron's organic core - burying themselves in the past - they trigger the reformatting that is Cybertron's future.
