This marks the end of the sentient Diagnostic Drone--although Megatron would use mindless Drones based on its design in later episodes.
When Megatron battles Optimus his dragon head was on his robot mode's left arm. It was on his right arm back in Beast Wars.
In the classic G1 episode "Rebirth", the Plasma Energy Chamber was activated the same way as Vector Sigma; via a key. A telepathic link to the Chamber was NOT how the device was activated.
Waspinator somehow got back to Cybertron on his own. He said it "took forever"- over 4 Million years!
This episode reveals that Thrust is Waspinator while Jetstorm is Silverbolt.
In the original series, the Key to Vector Sigma's ability to turn organic matter into metallic matter was a function of the key's presence on Earth. As Alpha Trion explained to Optimus Prime, when the key was on Cybertron, it had only one use: to awaken Vector Sigma.
Rattrap mentions that he lost some friends in the "Beast Wars" who are Tigertron, Airazor, Dinobot, and Depth Charge.
Nightscream has a built-in DNA scanner. He also explains that the Stasis Pods (used commonly in Beast Wars) are now obsolete.
While it was shown that Rhinox agreed with Megatron's agenda in the previous episode, here its shown that Rhinox has his own view on how that agenda should be carried out.
The story of Nightscream's survival is revealed: he fell into a cavern of fossils and created a beast form by scanning the DNA of a bat.
It is also revealed that the Beast Wars were fought so that the Maximals and Predacons would "return" organics to Cybertron - though Optimus completely misreads the Oracle's intent.
After awakening the mind of Rhinox, the Maximals discover that Rhinox AGREES with Megatron's plan to purify Cybertron!
Rattrap discovers what happened when the Maximals arrived on Cybertron and realizes that Tankor is actually Rhinox.
The Maximals didn't even TRY to fight back when they first reached Cybertron, and instead just ran for their lives.
In the flashback scene where the Maximals are running from the Vechicons, Blackarachnia is no where to be seen.
Among the bodies in the shell yard can be seen Soundwave and Bluestreak, characters from the original G1 Transformers series. That is not to say that these bodies actually ARE these characters - the CGI models have just been recycled from when they appeared in Beast Wars and used to fill space.
Blackarachnia is shown eating the fruit from Nightscream's tree; however, all spiders are carnivorous, so she shouldn't even be showing interest in the fruit, technorganic or not.
Cheetor said that they never ate food before, they just fueled up on Energon. However, several episodes of Beast Wars showed both Maximals and Predacons injesting organic materials.
We see Rattrap's Robot Mode for the first time, though he still can't control his transformation abilities.
Blackarachnia discovers that there are two Maximals missing from the six that landed on Cybertron, leaving the question, where are Silverbolt and Rhinox?
