      • Terrorsaur: There he is, our loyal companion!
Rhinox: Is that supposed to mean something?
Terrorsaur: Deep six the wide-eye routine, you're trying to destabilize the entire operation, so you can knock off Megatron and take over! Well, I got news for you. I like this plan. So what do you say, 50-50, equal partners?
Rhinox: No, here's the deal. You're going to keep your big beak shut, or you'll be a new fast food sensation, pterodactyl hot wings! Get it?
        Terrorsaur: Got it.
        Rhinox: Good.

      • Cheetor: So give us the scoop. What's it actually feel like, being a Pred?
Rhinox: Like you're three gigabytes of attitude on a two gig hard drive. No wonder they got personality problems.

      • The Transmutator is about to explode
        Cheetor: "It's gonna blow!"
Optimus: "Dinobot, grab Rhinox and let's go, go, go!"
Dinobot: "No! This is our opportunity to take over the base!"
        Optimus: "That's an order!"
Rattrap: "Yo! Everybody out of the pool!"

      • Waspinator: Decepticons, attack, attack!
        (Cheetor shoots Waspinator down)
Waspinator: More than meets the eye!

      • Waspinator: Destroy all Autobots, bots!
Megatron: What are you buzzing about, Waspinator?
Waspinator: Waspinator? Negative, negative, I am Shrapnel, Decepticon hero-o.
Blackarachnia: Shrapnel? That was a Decepticon from the Great War, three centuries ago! He's wacko.
Waspinator: Wacko? No, Wonko, Wonko the Sane!

      • (Megatron and Waspinator discover Scorponok, Rhinox's first victim)
Megatron: Idiot! What have you done?
Waspinator: Idiot does not respond! Idiot is comatose!

      • Rhinox: There's more than one way to skin a cat... so to speak.

      • Megatron: Close the file on Optimus Primal, and delete!

      • (about Rhinox)
Rattrap: We can't leave my bud in there.
Optimus: Oh yes we can. That's exactly what we're going to do.
Rattrap: Oh good, I... WHAT?! Optimus, you got a few bugs in your processor?
Optimus: No, but I have a hunch Megatron has bitten off more than he can chew... yes.

      • Cheetor: Rhinox, a Predacon? Oh man, this is bad.
Dinobot: Indeed. It alters the balance of power.
Cheetor: I'm talking about what it does to Rhinox! Better dead than Pred!
Dinobot: Some of us have survived the experience, furball.

    • NOTES (2)

      • At the end of the episode, Rhinox admits that he was fascinated by his experience as a Predacon and the freedom of morals that it granted him, a sentiment reflected by Silverbolt during Beast Machines. Also, the concept of Rhinox as an enemy is revisited in Beast Machines, when Tankorr is revealed to have Rhinox's spark inside him. In both instances, Rhinox is portrayed as a frighteningly intelligent, cunning and cruel villain.

      • First mention of the Decepticons and an original character, Shrapnel.

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • Unspoken: Visual reference
In the last fight scene when the Maximals infiltrate the Pred ship, there are two visual homages to the Indiana Jones movie "Raisers of the Lost Ark". First, when Optimus pulls out his swords and twirls them around a bit before striking a fighting stance, and Megatron just shoots him. Indy did the same thing to a nameless Arabic grunt with a sword in one of the movie's more famous scenes. Secondly, Dinobot pushing Scorponok into his spinner weapon mirrors the scene in which one of the Nazi grunts gets chopped up by an airplane propeller while fighting Indy on an airfield.

      • Waspinator: Not wacko, Wonko! Wonko the Sane!
This statement actually has two references attached to it. First off, Wonko the Sane is a character from Douglas Adam's book "So Long and Thanks For All the Fish." But, more importatly, Wonko the Sane is/was the screen name of Benson Yee, a Transformers fan and the proprieter of Ben's World of Transformers (www.bwtf.com). Staff members Larry DiTillo and Bob Forward gave Ben Yee this little reference as a "thank you," which is why Waspinator salutes the screen when he says it. It is also noteworthy that Benson Yee is credited as a consultant for Season 2's "The Agenda."

      • Waspinator: More than meets the eye.
This is one of two tag lines used to describe the original Transformers. The other being "Robots in Disguise."
