this one. but not beast machines. they should not have hired writers unfamiliar with a series to write a direct sequal.

I believe they did the same thing with Transformers:Energon. The entire "Optimus floating in space" storyline was completely forgotten. Starscream was never the same character from the previous show. Megatron went from a guy who sacrificed himself to save Cybertron from Unicron to a guy who wants Unicron to eat Cybertron.

The best Transformers series is Beast Wars. Good Characters, Good Storylines, Good Animation at the time.

Beast Wars is the best. Unlike G1, characters actually die in the show.

G1 & BW tie for the best, (& characters actually do Die in G1, but only in the movie.) Animated is probably in 3rd place behined headmasters. (SOUNDWAVE SUPERIOR!!!)

I was reading this thread and was going to make this comment, but you beat me to it...by about one year. Better late than never!

Not only that, but there were a set number of characters unlike in G1 where they keep showing up randomly and adding to the already crowded cast. Keeping a few character means we get to know them more in detail.
The G1 movie was horrible in that they just killed off a bunch of the original characters uneventfully [other than Prime and Starscream] and then these new characters were introduced without any reason.

I agree with everyone else I think Beast Wars was the best Transformer series. My second favorite series would have to be G1(what can rember), fellowed by Beast Machines(I know a lot people are going question me on this) , Armada, Animated, Cyberton, Energon.

Beast Wars was like the only series that tired to be original and do something different, every other series just does some thing over and over again.

Beast Wars was definitely the best hands down. It tried to be original compared to the regurgitation of the other transformer series

I like Beast Wars & Galaxy Force (Cybertron in the US, which got extremely butchered storyline wise).

I only liked the season finales and semi-finales in Beast Machines.

If Headmasters was dubbed by the US (not that ugly "fandub"), then you would have gotten a few more deaths, namely:
    - Optimus Prime (again)
    - Galvatron (in a corny way)
    - Soundwave (although he was reborn as Soundblaster 2 episodes later)
    - Scorponok
    - That autobot radio guy (forgot name, but like soundwave, he also gets reborn)

Beast Wars was the best becouse it had developed characters, an interesting storyline and tryed to do something different from the rest of the series.
