seasons 1 and 2, mainly because they all could do something other than sitting around because they were too slagging tall. *wink wink* *nug nug*

2 but I wish 2 and 3 got more episodes 18 would of been much better. Season 2 had the best eppisode "Code of Hero" and season 1 had Rhinox's mega fart and 3 had Hasbro's 22 minute toy ads with 7 new designs in 13 eppisodes.

I would say two, no doubt.  Even though I loved 3, it felt rushed.

Well Hasbros "Toy Ad's" were a swift kick in the nads for season 3. 7 new ones in 13 episodes is a lot.

Season 2 was perfect, through and through. Season 3 had a lot of potential, what with the plots involving the Nemesis and the Ark, and the new characters (Depthcharge, Tigerhawk) and the upgrades (T2 Blackarachnia, Cheetor, Dinobot; Optimal Optimus, and Dragon Megatron)... but somewhere along the line the writers forgot the heart, forgot what "good plots" were (if Season 3 was 26 episodes like Season 1, I would be capable of forgiving mishaps like "Go With the Flow" and "Master Blaster" and "Proving Grounds"), and decided to cram two seasons of material into one.

Am I the only one who noticed that they didn't bother giving the new characters and upgrades their own episodes? Dinobot 2 comes along 5 minutes into "Feral Scream," T2 Blackarachnia pops up five minutes before the end of "Crossing the Rubicon," and Megatron comes up with the brilliant scheme to upgrade in the last 10 minutes of super-lame "Master Blaster." Not only that, but the new characters all die within the season (Depthcharge dies 11 episodes in, Tigerhawk THREE), and the rest of the bad guys become straight-up comedy relief (with the exception of Rampage, who is missing in the season except when he's fighting Depthcharger)--Inferno in the first two seasons was a loyal, intimidating scout, and in Season 3 he's just Waspinator 2. Quickstrike just runs around screaming about kickin' some keister, which he did in Season 2, which means he was only good in the Western-themed "Coming of the Fuzors".

They screwed up so bad with Season 3. It had so much to be so great, too.

Yea.. Season one is my favourite. There was character development, and they didn't rely on shiny* new Transformers to sell the show. They wanted to make all the good guys blind and wander through a forest, that's what they did. And other stuff.
*In the sense that the new Transformers were shiny. Animals, but shiny. In the bad way.

Too much marketing in season 2 and 3. There was a bit in season one (initial characters, add-on Blackarachnia, Tigertron, Airazor), but it wasn't every other episode.

Also, season one is the only season of any Transformers series (to my knowledge) to feature every single character having as a non-shiny Transformation Modes. Yep; all animal here.

Mine our 1 and 2. 1 because of the development. 2 because it furthered the story at a good pace. 3 to me was either a bunch of upgrades, new characters and deaths. And if it wasn't that some characters were just absent for like half the season.
