a great show that needs to be brought back. I used to watch this show every time that it was on. I think that it would b a big hit if it came back for atleast another season. Do they even play re runs any more. I thought it was a great idea to have that non amazing smart game show, but just a game show. Ben Stein also had a tv show like this. That type of game show was able to work for VH1 with the popcultural challenge series they had. I think it would b a great idea to bring it back for alittle while.
  • it was all right for a while

this show was okay for a while, then it went downhill. it was nice to see geeks finally get some respect. i learned a lot about things from pop culture that i did not know. but this show just wore out fast. i was not suprised when it was finally cancelled.
  • This is probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. (Game shows, at least.)

I know it's terribly geeky (no pun intended) to admit this, but this show was one of, in my mind, the all-time best shows to come from Comedy Central, and it made me love them that little bit more. It was smart, sassy, funny, and totally interesting. I don't think I missed an episode - and watched a few more than a couple of times. If it were out on DVD, I would buy it. I love it just that much. Granted, it was a little awkward at first, a little odd, but once it hit it's stride, it was entertaining to watch. It didn't even really matter who won, it was just enjoying being amazed at the knowledge those three guys possessed. Wonderful show. I wish it were brought back. There's nothing better than a game show that entertains you on a level beyond just winning and losing.
  • Only game show I felt I had a sporting chane at.

I may have choked in the lightning round, or whatever it was called. Your brain knows Barenaked Ladies is music, but the word movie is so similar sounding sometimes it mistakenly comes out when your playing at home. Personal highlight: the movie geek got Hilary Swank's first movie wrong. It's Buffy:TVS
  • it was ok

Beat the geeks was a decent CC original seires.I remember it was when people would have to beat smart geeks in all things such as music,tv, and so forth.I thought the people were amazing about the fact that they can actually beat these smart people. It was a decent show so it deserves a 5.9/10.0
  • This show just makes me laugh. It really does. Beat the Geeks, man.

I have never watched the show regularly but when I do, I just laugh. Both at the show and myself. I could definately be one of those geeks but, that's a bit off topic. Back to the show, it's quite and interesting idea. Also amusing to see this geeks in their expertise roll off unlimited knowledge. It really does just make me laugh. Although I'll admit the show doesn't really have enough steam or potential to really stand the test of time, for the moment, it's just great. Something different to occupy my mind with during the hours of "nothing on tv".
  • Of of the coolest shows I have ever seen

Beat The Geeks, the one show that made me proud to be a couch potato. I once thought that I was the biggest couch potato until I found out how much tv the TV geek watches. (I think it was 16 hours a day or more). And that sexy co-host made me want to be one of those geeks. The second season was much better from the robes the geeks wore to the host who looked like an upright Steven Hawking. It was a show that made me realize how little i knew about the media world and got me addicted to the show. I hope they bring it back one day.
  • OK I admit it: this is one of my favorite game shows of all time.

This show's popularity (or lack thereof, I guess...it wasn't that popular) rested on just how geeky the "geeks" were. These weren't just any regular geeks...these were geeks that obviously would regard the female gender as a foreign species. After all, what you haven't touched or talked to before would be quite foreign wouldn't it?

Kidding aside, the 3 geeks were frighteningly good at the topics in which they professed their geekdom. You had a TV geek, movie geek and music geek. Every show had a "guest geek" in some other random topic that made you wonder if they had any friends whatsoever.

The questions the contestants had to answer when challenging the geeks were usually moronically easy but nobody cared about those questions. You watched to see the geeks calmly rattle off useless facts about some random speck of pop culture from 1971 as if it was common knowledge. These geeks liked to show off like that....they would take the question, answer it, and give a minute of accessory information while the crowd chanted "geek! geek!". It really was a weird, yet fun, show.

    Bring it back!! Please!!
