  • Already episode, of an alright show.

I have seen every episode of Beautiful People [so far], and i have to say, it really is nothing special.

With this episode, we see the aftermath of the 'formal episode' at the end of last season. And sadly, summer break did not bring any better writing on this show. It is so obvious that the new kid is a bad boy and Sophie will fall for him, and Nicky will be gone...

I really wish they would work a little harder on the plot, because the acting it better than most shows, but the writing does not warrant recommendations to people, beautiful or not.moreless
  • Daniel Kerr comes back wanting Sophie, Lynn is going out with Jillian. Karen works as a model but hates the beginning steps. But Sophie and Nicky are finally a couple!!!

I loved this episode. I saw the drama behind the custody battle and know first hand how divorce can be. I felt for Lynn in the beginning, but then after seeing how she felt about Jillian, I was disgusted and hate it. I love the turn around that Karen has made since she stopped taking the diet pills. I think she'll shine this season. Due to the custody battle, I hope that Daniel get's nothing out of it. Sophie is finally happy and I would allow her to live her life in New York where she belongs. Dealing with Gideon and Anabell, I know somehting will happen and all I have to say is go for it since Sophie is already taken. Lol!!!

Now with Nicky and Sophie, I am more then happy. I think that Jackson Rathbone who plays Nicky is extremely cute and just can't get over how amazing he is and how well he portrays Nicky. I think that Nicky and Sophie are so cute together and I love how the end of the last episode went. It's just perfect and I hope that they stay together throughout the season. I think they could go far and I'm hoping for the best.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • James McCaffrey (Julian) stopped being credited as a special guest star, and now he's a special guest appearance.

    • GOOF: Notice when Julian is talking on his cell phone with Lynn as he walks around downtown, a TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) vehicle with its distinctive red and white stripe passes behind him, indicative of the fact that although the show is set in New York, it is filmed in Toronto.

    • Karen wore ridiculous outfits for different modeling jobs. One of the things she wore was a chicken suit.

    • Karen starts out the episode with a new hairstyle. There is no reference to it at all in the episode.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Karen: I think Nicky will come around
      Sophie: Really?
Karen: How could he not? Look what he's got to lose if he doesn't.

    • Karen: I think Nicky will come around
      Sophie: Really?
Karen: How could he not? Look what he's got to lose if he doesn't.

    • Sophie: (to Lynn and Karen) A week ago my life was perfect. Then suddenly Nicky can barely stand to be around me and when I finally get him to tell me what was wrong, all he'd say was, "ask your mother". What have you done?

    • Annabelle: (to Gideon) …I think about how amazing it would be to kiss you. To really kiss you. I don't want to be your friend Gid. I want to be more.

    • Karen: Dad is such a pig.
Lynn: He's still your father, Karen.
Karen: In the sperm donor sense of the word.

    • Daniel: I'm here because Karen got into trouble, taking amphetamines and working in some sleazy nightclub until the middle of the night, then I find out that Sophie is dating some spoiled rich-kid, son of your ex-boyfriend?
Lynn: Is this what this is all about? Julian Fiske?
Daniel: No. No it's not. God, I can't seem to say what I want to say to you anymore. I can never undo what I did to them and what I did to you and I will regret that for the rest of my life. I guess I'm just hoping for a little bit of forgiveness.
Lynn: I can forgive you, Daniel. But you still can't take Sophie.

    • Sophie: Can't wait to jump into the new semester?
Gideon: Just couldn't wait to get out of the house. Father and Chelsea came home from the Hamptons last night, and they went to bed but they didn't sleep, if you get my meaning.

  • NOTES (2)

    • This episode starts out as a flash foward, and then goes back into the past to explain how the characters got to where they were.

    • Because this episode and the rest of this season first aired in 2006, it is a misconception that they are apart of the second season.
