This episode of "Beauty and the Geek" was pretty revealing (in more ways than one :-P), the geeks and the babes getting to know what makes the others tick and their own shared insecurities. Brittany deserved to win the photo shoot, she is incredibly hot and probably the most insightful and sensitive of the babes. I also thought she deserved to win the bar challenge, even with glasses and no make up her beauty shines thru. Good to see Cher getting a bit of a reality check and getting her priorities right. The final challenge was sad to watch, knowing that the only true couple would be split up whoever won.
The guys challange is to take picures of the girls and Joe won that challenge. The girls challenge was to wear no makeup try to get as many guys to buy them drinks at a bar as possible. Jennipher won that challange. Sarah, Wes, Cher and Josh go to elimina
Good episode! i thought Joe did a great job with the pictues! i would of picked him! I cant believe Cher didnt go home...i like JOsh but i want cher to go home.I hope Britany and JOe win the game!. I thought the dates were funny like Sarah's and JOes. lol he kept blowing his knows.
Both of this weeks challenges were a really good idea from an originality stand point.
Both the girls and the guys challenges, although being just a bit on the side of humiliating, really showed the essence of how things changed and in what way things should change from both the girls and the guys prospective.
I especially liked the girls challange, and was very surprised at it's outcome, indeed this was one of the first times I wasn't sure untill the end who had won, and was shoked by the actual outcome.
In the end, it comes down to both sides of the Wes/Cher affair in the elimination round. (Hey at least they're better then Scarlet/Chuck thing... but then again, everything is -_-) Wes and Sarah lose and give a dramatic speech about confidence and change.
Finally, here's something to think about, there seems to be a bit of a deal between Brittany and Joe, or at least Joe is definatly overacting, both in this weeks guys challange, and in next week's (You'll need to rewatch the trailer if you didn't catch it the first time) 'Amazing Race' clone challange.
All in all, definatly a good eppy and definatly a good season.
Keep it up, hold your fingers for a third season, this show's one of the best social-reality shows out there.
I usually just watch 'Beauty' for a bit of a laugh, but I think the girl's challenge this episode actually brought the programme closer to the 'social experiment' it claims to be.
I'm not the kind of person who gets off on human suffering, but this week's challenge, which put the girls into a nightmare social situation, really made me think.
Look-wise I'm not in the league of the 'Beauties,' so I found it interesting to see just how hard the girls found it to go out looking somewhat less than fabulous.
It seems that all their confidence really is in the way they present themselves to the world. It made me sad to think that these girls, who looked a long way from bad (except maybe Cher's choice of a dwarfing dress) couldn't conduct themselves in such a situation.
I sometimes find that the girls don't get as much out of this social experiment as the boys do - but this weeks task certainly made them have a second look at themselves...
