Well surprise surprise, they brought in a good looking guy and a geek girl. An interesting concept but still you can just see the guy hooking up with a beauty within the first couple of nights. You may see the geeky girl getting more friendly with another geek but it won't be the same dramatic 'lets go make out in front of everyone' kind of deal. Besides this is a social experiment for two groups of people coming out of their comfort zones to learn more about each other. If there is good looking confident guy strutting around the place the geek guys are just going to feel less relaxed. The geek girl is always going to be the outsider with the beauties. I am for twists by they may have just made a show about a bunch of jocks and cheerleaders that live with a bunch of geeks. The geeks can study and sword fight on one side of the house and the beauties can party and make-out on the other side. Saying that, take out the switched couple and it's going to be another awesome season! Love the new group of people!moreless
  • They have their first challenge and the teams are selected

It was interesting to have them take the test to see where they were to start out. It will be good to have it to compare to later. The only problem is I would have thought about throwing it. It is obvious that they want you to make improvements, and the best way to do that is to start out at the bottom. I didn't like the way they picked partners. They should have gotten to pick someone they liked. It is easier to route for certain teams when they have the same interests. I actually like the twist of adding the new team. It should be interesting to see how they fit into it.moreless
  • I'm not too crazy about the twist, but I'll take it.

I have to say that I've missed 'Beauty and the Geek' over this summer. I was all up for this season. I love the new geeks this season. There's always a variety each season and I'm glad that these geeks looked promising. Personal favorite geek? Joshua, who reminds me of Richard (season 1) and Joe (season 2), and Tony, the geek with the bow tie. My favorite beauty is Shay and Jasmine kinda freaks me out.

Of course, there is a surprise this premiere and everybody is whisked to a challenge. I love how awkward the guys were with that mannequin and how confused the beauties looked, except Hollie, she seemed smart *interesting*. And here's the surprise challenge prize: the winners get to pick the teams. Pretty snazzy because the winners are the ones with the lowest scores. The ones with that honor are Joshua and Shay, my favorites.

And I thought that that was it, when they brought in a tenth team of a geeky girl and a beauty guy. It's definitely gonna spice up the season. But just wondering where they found the guy, he looks more of a kept man than a beauty.moreless

Well I guess they will try anyways, yes the normal changing of how they choose their teammates is always good, nice to not know. But the new Beauty(Huh?) and Geek is just going to be an annoyance, all the other beauties will be hovering over him while the geeks do what they usually do in that type of situation, nothing. Isnt the whole idea to show everyone, its more than whats on the outside, well if all the "beautiful" people are ignoring everyone else, guess the editing department and Director where very busy this past taping of the show.

    It it ain't broke, don't fix it...moreless
