  • An annoying home pest versus the two greatest idiot savants in comedy.

    The episode followed in the usual trend of cartoons where the main characters are trying to kill a flying pest that annoys them. The difference between this and other episodes: it was unique in their cleverly funny methods of how they tried to deal with the unwanted visitor ranging from a bush whacker to good old-fashioned bug poison in the aerosol can. Priceless was the quoted homage to Scarface when Beavis brandished the bush whacker saying "Hello to my little friend". Of course from knowing their antics, Beavis and Butt-head also deliver a few blows to each other: Beavis swings a shovel around and smacks Butt-head in the back of his, uh, head in which Butt-head later smacks Beavis' back with a wooden (uh huh huh I said wood) baseball bat. Their trap was also comical when Beavis made "some fertilizer" in the trash in order to lure the fly to his death which never came. Then they were laughing at the end when a swarm of flies came in to check out the landfill in the living room. This episode rules.moreless

    Here is my review for one of the funniest and memorable episodes of Beavis and Butt-Head. It's called "Die, Fly! Die!". With a funny title like that, it's guaranteed to be hilarious (because it IS)! Anyway, this whole episode focuses on Beavis and Butt-Head trying to kill a fly that bothers them at the beginning of the episode. They do a lousy job at trying to kill it, because they use a bunch of stuff that isn't effective against something as small as a fly (such as a hammer, a shovel, and a baseball bat). When Beavis decides to get the fly with a hedge-trimmer, he imitates a line from the movie "Scarface" (which cracks me up each time I hear him say it). Beavis and Butt-Head then decide to lure the fly to a can of garbage and spray it with a can of insecticide, which knocks them out for a while when they use it. When they wake up, Beavis attacks the fly by throwing the can at it, which breaks open the window and a bunch of flies come into the house. The first time I saw this episode on TV, every second of it cracked me up. A true classic.moreless

    This episode has all of the violence that was pretty much left out of the show after season 2. Beavis and Butthead try to kill a fly with just about every implement available, from a shovel to a hammer to the bush whacker they got from the episode "Yard Sale" and all fail miserably. When they use the bug killer spray they knock themselves out from the fumes, and then accidentally let other flies in when they throw it through the window. Classic stuff.moreless
