Beavis and Butt-head are ordered to prune the top of Mr. Anderson's tree, but take a disastrous shortcut on their job. The boys prune Mr. Anderson's trees...and destroy his house
Overall a funny episode, it's always nice to watch Beavis and Butthead cause destruction to Mr. Anderson's stuff. But this one will get a 9.5 out of 10

  • This is my personal favorite Beavis and Butthead adventure.

This is the episode to start with to grasp the greatness of this series. Even though not the best, you may enjoy it. The episode touches every key theme to the show; destruction, humor, and even the juvenillism. This episode will make yourself glad that you don't live next to such insane and off the wall maniacs as Beavis and Butthead.

    • Beavis: Hey, Butt-Head. You think a man will ever land on Uranus? Butt-Head: Maybe on YOUR anus!

    • Butt-head: Whoa, that was cool! Beavis: Yeah! This chainsaw kicks ass! Pruning is cool! Butt-head: Yeah. Let's go prune some powerlines. (Butt-Head revs up the chainsaw and the boys bang their heads while imitating loud rock music.)

    • Tom Anderson: Hey, you boys look familiar...aren't you the ones who ran off with my riding-mower last week? Butt-Head: Uh...no. Tom Anderson: You the ones who painted my cat`s butt? Butt-Head: No. Tom Anderson: Well, the cops will get them. Luckily, I've got Home Owners' Insurance. Butt-Head: You`ve got what? Tom Anderson: Home Owners' Insurance.

    • Mr. Anderson: What are ya'll doing, choking your chicken? Come on, let's get to pruning!

    • Butt-head: I've been injured. Injury hotline operator: You have? Butt-head: Yeah. I've got a big crack in my butt.

  • NOTES (9)

    ADD NOTES
    • This episode was alsocut down from its original time on the Beavis and Butt-head: The Mike Judge Collection Vol.1.

    • In the edited version of this episode, the boy's voices while headbanging sound slightly high-pitched instead of sounding gruff from the original version.

    • This episode is broadcasted out of production order because Tom Anderson asks the boys if they stole his lawn mower and painted his cat's butt which happened in "Home Improvement."

    • The part where Butt-Head holds the chainsaw and screams "Welcome to the Jungle...you're gonna die" while headbanging has been removed on "Mike Judge Collection" DVD set.

    • The clip of Beavis and Butt-Head head-banging while reving up a chainsaw, the clip of Beavis using the chainsaw on a grasshopper Butt-Head is holding, and the clip of Beavis and Butt-Head sawing down a tree that knocks down a telephone pole and destroys a car are reused in the montage sequence on the episode "Beavis and Butt-Head Are Dead".

    • Note: beavis chanting FIRE! was later removed

    • In this episode, Anderson asks the boys if they were the ones who stole his mower and painted his cat's butt. This is a reference to what happened in the previous episode HOME IMPROVEMENT.

    • This episode contains a TV advert for the services of attorney Joe Adler. Mr. Adler appeared in two Season 5 episodes, "Whiplash" and "Sexual Harassment". With a voice that resembles a more relaxed McVicker, Adler is one of the show's best-developed personalities.

    • Original version contained fire references in the Kris Kross video; these have been edited out.
