  • When writing is the star, you end up with a great episode!

John comes into the diner with a scooter in his hand. He took it from someone who rolled over John's foot with it. Bob comes in to complain about the fact that his ex-wife is taking him back to court, apparently for a bonus round, where the money value has doubled. Reggie comes out and is shocked when she sees a keg of beer on the counter. Jake apparently signed for it, and didn't know what it was.

At the office, Margaret is really sleepy, so Linda criticizes her for being out all night, but Margaret says she was up because of a dream she had. Linda tries to get her to tell her about the dream, but Linda figures out it was a sex dream, and Margaret reveals that the dream was about John. In the other room, John is talking on the phone, to his accountant, about money. John wants to get Margaret a raise, but his accountant says it'll cost John too much money.

At the diner, Reggie is complaining on the phone about the keg of beer. John suggests that she sell the beer, but Reggie can't because she doesn't have a license to sell alcohol. Linda comes in and asks Reggie about what Margaret's dream may have meant.

Linda comes into the office and tells Margaret about what Reggie told her. She says there's something she and John hasn't dealt with.

At the diner, Reggie and Jake are drinking the beer since they can't sell it or give it back. Bob comes in and complains about his ex-wife, and how she's trying to take everything.

Back at the office, John's talking to his accountant, Barry, to try and get her a raise. Linda is listening to the conversation, but the words were craftily worded to make it sound like she wants to have sex with Margaret.

Still at the office, Linda confronts John about what he was discussing, and John's still using "right" words for the situation. Linda walks out of the office, and she tells Margaret about everything John said, and uses John's own words. John walks out and tells John that she and John have to stay late tonight and fill out some forms, and "take care of everything tonight."

At the diner, Bob, Jake, and Reggie are still drinking. Drunk, Bob and Jake come up with "million dollar ideas," all of which seem to have already been invented.

At the office, John and Margaret are talking about the insurance forms, when John starts talking about giving her a raise, but the way John is speaking, it continues to lead her into thinking he wants to have sex with her, so Margaret comes right out and says she doesn't want to have sex with him. It makes for an interesting little conversation.

The star of this episode is the writing, without the writing, much of the joke of the show wouldn't have been able to go on as far as it did.
