      • In order to get rid of the ghost chicken, Beetlejuice takes on the disguise of Harland David "Colonel" Sanders, the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, which is a fast food chain that primarly serves fried chicken.

      • The scene where Beetlejuice's fridge opens, and there is a bright light coming from inside it is actually an allusion to the scene where Sigourney Weaver's character, Dana Barret, opens her fridge and finds that its being possessed by Zuul the Gate Keeper, in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters with Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis.
