The skeletons in BJ's closet have accumulated so much over the years that the closet finally bursts. The skeletons drift astray, telling people the truths Beetlejuice had always hidden from them.
  • Classic, classic episode.

In Skeletons In the Closet, we learn that in the Neitherworld, every time you tell a lie you get a wispy, moaning skeleton in your closet. Now Beetlejuice's closet, well, it's a BIG one...

After Lydia lies to her parents about keeping a baby skunk in her room, she accompanies Beetlejuice back to the Roadhouse where she witnesses him telling lies to Jacques and Ginger, and the Monster Across the Street. Finally, Beetljuice's closet can hold no more, and truth-telling skeletons start to haunt the neighborhood, telling the people Beetlejuice had wronged just what the ghoul has been up to. All of a sudden Lydia's own lie-conjured skeleton emerges from the closet and starts heading for the Outerworld, intent on telling her parents the truth about the skunk. How does one banish such an entity?

A very good story, this episode introduces us to Beetlejuice's housemates: Jacques, the fitness-obsessed, French skeleton with the gentle, chipper attitude, and Ginger the pink tap-dancing spider, who sadly cannot dance a single step; also, we meet BJ's neighbor the country-western Monster Across the Street and the Monster's doglike pet Poopsie. Amid all these nice folks Beetlejuice stands out like a red-tipped thumb! This is a very good episode that shows off the oddity of the Neitherworld.moreless
