Jenny is back in Toronto and admits to Erica that she made a mistake following her boyfriend to Reno and that she is in debt without a job in sight. Erica's and Julianne's business is in the middle of editing and promoting their first author's novel and they are looking for more books to publish. Erica wants to help her friend and gives her a job as assistant at their publishing firm. Dr. Tom sends Erica back to a day at Black Creek Pioneer Village when she and Jenny were working and Jenny left her job and got herself and Erica fired. Erica understands that Jenny needs to learn being responsible for her own actions and has to make a tough decision about their friendship.moreless
