  • Still doing well

    8.0
Not as good as the previous episodes, but still doing well. Still reminds me of a much better version of Touch.
  • Birth of the blues!

    8.0
    OK, I've now watched the first three episodes on consecutive nights and have the following comments;

    1) already becoming formulaic with much running, making some strangers life better, more running, child histrionics, a bit more running and then they get away.

    2) the police seem to have a magical method of locating two people in a city of millions with consummate ease.

    3) Tate, who initially couldn't care less about Bo, didn't dump her whiny butt when she wouldn't come down the fire escape ladder.

    4) Johnny Sequoyah is 10 1/2, as is her character Bo and realistically, the timing couldn't be worse for a young actress about to hit puberty. It's hardly feasible that the writers can manage to have a guy like Tate cope with that situation. I would imagine the creators of the show envisioned a 3 or 5 year run, so slap bang in the area of time a young girl would be looking for female wisdom.

The initial story of Bo's mother was reasonably interesting and gave us the clue about the blue butterfly we keep seeing but the bit about the drone and the missile was crazy. Everyone in that room would have been falling over themselves to get out when the missile was fired.

This series is kicking off tonight in the UK but the TV sections in the newspapers are already rubbishing it, so doesn't bode well for it.

I'll probably watch another few episodes but if it continues like this, I doubt it will even make the end of series one, much less get a 2nd.

If the bean counters cancelled an excellent series like King & Maxwell, I can't see them keeping this going.

It's an interesting concept but ultimately, the flaws will probably outweigh the better points.moreless
  • Bo is starting to annoy me

    6.0
This show seems to be promising but God I hate when kids do nothing but yap and yap and yap (so irritating it gives me a headache) and this is how I feel about Bo right now. I really hated the scene where she wouldn't go down the stairs (to scape from the FBI) because Tate was yelling at her. I wanted to push her down so bad. C'mon, she's not a 5 year old! She can disarm a gun when she's scared but can't climb down the stairs? Is this how's it going to be all season? If it is, I'll stop watching this show right now.

And the boy in the pawn shop, how come a total stranger tells a kid he was kidnapped as a child? Why not share with her all that's private for him?moreless
  • Fear.

    6.0
Next episode marks the 4th and will mark it for the 4 episode test. I fear the marks won't be good. As much as I personally do like the shows idea and characters. It just doesn't seem to have enough drive. Every episode just seems to be enough to get it to the next but it always feels like nothings been done. I still hope the show carries on and gets better but so far it's below par for me out of the rest of the shows I do watch. All that having been said the surprises and twists it has thrown in deserve credit.moreless
  • Show gets better&better

    10
Believe keeps getting better and better. The weekly stories are interesting and come together believable and not at all cheesy. So well done and the over aching mythology is being furthere developed and gets more and more intriguing. Great chemistry and acting by Jake McLaughlin and Johnny Sequouyah. Winter and Skouras's history and different belief make for a great backstory and epic friends turned rivals. I did find it easier to watch this show when it first aired on Monday's and wish they'd get rid of the Nielsen ratings since watching live is not always possibly and lots of viewers do not have Nielsen boxes. Hoping this show with so much going for it gets a season 2moreless
