  • Wow, Revealing! Who knew Gwen was an alien?

Revealing episode! Great! Kevin was right. Gwen's magic powers and abilities do come from her alien ancestry. I liked Verdona a lot, but got creeped out when I saw her tru inner-alien-self! She looks younger as an alien. Ha, ha! I liked Spidermonkey as well. He will prove to be useful in the future. Gwen's parents were a little weird though. What got me really excited was the fact that Verdona, and all other Anodites have so much power! Can you imagine what would happen if Ben absorbed her alien DNA? Doesn't he already have some of it though since he's her grandson? Anyway, If Ben could turn into an Anodite, it would be awesome. He'd look like an alien with a body similar to a humans' and have a crazy amount of power! He would be like a super-hero! Hint, hint... That also reminds me... He would look like Alien X! Maybe Alien X is an Anodite, and Ben will uncover him soon. His silhouette does look like an Anodite if you think about it. Then there would be no point of Gwen in the team... This episode was awesome. 10/10moreless

  • Ben and Gwen meet their alien grandmother.

And what a grandmother! This is easily the best episode so far of the series. It has the action and humor you expect, and Ben introduces us to yet another new alien in Spidermonkey. But what is so pivotal, and exciting, here is that we learn something new about Gwen's heritage. We discover the source of the powers she has displayed since the first episode (which Kevin correctly guessed at in "Everybody Talks About the Weather"). Gwen has the potential to become far more powerful, but she turns down the offer to embrace that potential because it would require her to give up something that means far more to her-her family, her friends, her very humanity. We finally meet Gwen's parents, and Kevin openly admits his feelings for Gwen. Verdona is awesome, both in her power and her character, and I sincerely hope she keeps her promise to pop in every now and again. We witness some very tender moments here, as well, as the family grieves for Max. There is so much to love about this episode.moreless
