Apparently, Julie is becoming an increasingly unpopular character, for reasons I cannot fathom.
    Any input?

Juile has always been a unpopular character. If you look at the old AF threads you'll see a lot of users say she is boring or annoying character. The chief complaint back in those days was that Juile had no personality. Some sites like tvtope feel Ben and Juile's relationship is so artificial that it takes away from Juile's character. It is just by the time the third season of AF started that people started to like her more and she grew on them. This season or last season since CN considers the new season a third one that people losing dislike Juile because the writers wrote her to be this victim in her relationship with Ben when it was not really his fault. She never got to spend time with Ben, but media keeps hounding Ben which makes that hard or Ben couldn't rescue Ship right away when he was in the middle of a fight. I still like Juile, but my liking is decreasing from what it was.

It's almost like people give Julie a sort of Yoko Ono-ish persona.

    This just in:
The next episode, Flame Keeper's Circle, involves a Vilgax (yes, that Vilgax) cult in which its newest member is...Julie.
It's like the show is leading up to killing her off.

Wow...Now in order to beat Ben he's trying to use the people he loves/cares about? We've seen this back in episode 3.

I doubt it is Vilgax started the cult. It is probably a bunch of people who love him or for whatever reason that started the cult to worship him.

I like Julie, but I don't think she's used properly at points in the show.

I liked Julie at first but recently she has started to annoy me they are using her as an obstacle. Unlike Gwen and Kevin's relationship she just seems to be holding on to Ben for the protection if you know what I mean

i neither hate nor love her. i dont see what everybody is making such a big deal about there are alot of generic characters in the show including ben himself. i mean hes just another typical huge ego kid that thinks hes perfect and always ends up succeeding at anything he does. he had more charcter development as a 10 year old then he did now

Agreed. Just because he doesn't look like he cares doesn't give him an excuse to act the way he is. If our president (or any leader in general) acted like that I'm pretty sure people would try to impeach him and it may make him look like a fool. I was hoping Ben would act like the Ken 10 version (serious during fights, happy go lucky outside of fights).

I think the reason Ben comes off as a arrogant because they think it appeals to kids. If you think about it Ben's behavior is more in line with a kid than a teenager. It's more than being arrogant he acts childish. It is odd to me because McDuffie's characterizations have never felt so generic as they do in AF. Watch his work on JLU or Static Shock episodes he worked on and it is very different from the AF/UA episodes he writes.

Yea I've noticed it too. Static and JLU characters don't act childish in most ways but usually only cocky.

You think Ben, Mr. Works out Great for him in the end, will actually try and work out all the wrinkles he made with Julie?

No, because everything works out for him. Juile will just forgive him as always.

Seriously. Why do the writers allow Gwen to take hits all the time but they hesitate to hit Julie??? If they at least made her take a punch from Eunice or something then I'd be happy.
