Robotic Lt./Gluto/Alien Prisoner #1/Automated Security/Eye Guy/Wildmutt
Robotic Lt./Gluto/Alien Prisoner #1/Automated Security
This is the first alien mistransformation in which it causes Ben to turn into more than one alien.
Gwen stated that Gluto's species had the power to regenerate from even the tiniest particle of their former being, but when Gluto came back, he had the metal base on that helped him to walk around. There should be no way he could replicate that.
Think Back: At the final battle scene, there are robots that are like the ones Ben fought in "And Then There Were Ten", but slightly bigger.
Look Closely: When Tetrax says, "Some of them, lots of reasons" at Incarcecon, he walks by many aliens, and one standing by SixSix has an Omnitrix symbol on its chest, this may mean he is a plumber, as in the Alien Force series, they have badges that look like an Omnitrix symbol.
Look Closely: You can see Gluto blushing when Gwen shows interest in the technology he was explaining to her.
Though the name is never mentioned, Tetrax's ship is called "The Resolute".
Think Back: Ben wins 2 out of 3 at rock-paper-scissors. In "Ben 10,000" Gwen stated that Ben always loses at it.
When Ben asked "You're Azmuth?" To Myaxx, she should've said something.
Pay Attention: There are many instances when the door of Tetrax's spaceship was open in space. If the door was open, Ben and Gwen should've had a hard time breathing or even staying in the ship. They could be pulled out into space.
Look Closely: Ben's original hoverboard in the beginning is incredibly thin in this episode.
Look Closely: The size of the Omnitrix symbol on Way Big is defined incorrectly. The size of the symbol stays the same on all the aliens - the size of the original Omnitrix. A good example is how the symbol covers Grey Matter's entire back, but less than a shoulder on Four Arms. The symbol on Way Big should be a good size, even unseen from a distance, and not so big it covers the middle of his chest.
Look Closely: If you look closely, you can see that the space suit is under the Omnitrix. We all know that the Omnitrix is attached to Ben's skin and DNA, so it shouldn't be over the suit.
When Ben first sees 'Vilgax' on Incarcecon, he asks how Vilgax would know the Creator was there, but he doesn't even stop to wonder how Vilgax even got out of the Null Void.
When Tetrax's ship wakes Ben up, the Omnitrix looks big enough to fall off his wrist.
When Gwen is on the ground as Tetrax's ship takes off, she's wearing her pajamas, but when Wildmutt finds her on the ship, she's wearing her normal clothes.
Look Closely: When Tetrax said, "My scanner should lead us directly to Azmuth" his mouth wasn't even moving.
We are never told how Vilgax escaped the Null Void. Also, since Vilgax escaped, it is possible that Kevin and Phil escaped as well.
How did Azmuth know Vilgax was after the Omnitrix? More importantly, how did he know Ben used it as a weapon to become a hero?
Think Back: Ben somehow knew Tetrax's real name, even though it was never introduced in "Hunted."
Since Ben is not used to traveling into space, he would have been likely to pass out on the way into space.
Cannon Bolt: (about to break Azmuth's door down) I've come too far and I've lost too much to be stopped now!
Vilgax: (to Azmuth) You will make me a more powerful device!
Ben: Wait, Tetrax is the creator!
Gwen: (to Ben) You are a hero, even if you can't go hero.
Myaxx: (in the ship and flying out of Incarcicon) We're not gonna make it!
Gwen: She may have a point, you know.
Way Big: (Vilgax stabs Ben with his claws) Ouch! You are so oughta here!
Way Big: Whoa! I'm not just big, I'm way big!
Ben: (flying small alien ship) It isn't so hard once you get used to it!
Azmuth: I still don't think the universe is worth saving, but while I think about it... (deactivates Omnitrix)
Ben: (flying into space) So this is what a pancake feels like!
Ben: (flying in hoverboard simulation) Look, me and Tetrax got it covered, we'll find the creator and he'll stop the watch from self-destructing. Then I'll be kicking alien butt again.
Gwen: Tetrax said the creator will deactivate the Omnitrix, not fix it.
(Ben falls off hoverboard)
Ben: (just learned how to fly a small alien ship) Oh yeah, now I got it!
Gwen: Come on! I know you can fly this thing.
Ben: You're just trying to mess with me.
Ben: Yeah! I work best under pressure.
Gwen: I wish I was at the mall right now.
Gwen: I hear normal kids normally spend their normal summer vacations at the beach, or the mall. Oh, that's right! We were supposed to be going to the mall today.
(shows Gwen and Grandpa Max being tied upside down)
Grandpa Max: Sorry, honey, got a little side-tracked.
Eye Guy: Okay, Animo, science class is canceled!
Dr. Animo: Fool! In less than a minute, the world will get a lesson it will never forget! In the meantime, meet my latest creation.
(Mutant Hornet appears)
Eye Guy: Whoa! That's an eyeful!
Vilgax: Hello, Ben.
Myaxx: (to Ben, about the Omnitrix) What have you using this for? Opening cans? Breaking rocks?
Gwen: That sounds about right.
Myaxx: What's your problem?
Upchuck: That voice... you're not Vilgax, you're a girl!
Myaxx: Yeah, I know! (kicks Upchuck)
(Ben and Gwen are disguised as a worm-like alien)
Gwen: I'm an alien's butt. This is officially the worst summer ever.
Ben: Normal? Who wants to be normal?! If you're not a hero, you're a zero!
(after hearing Myaxx couldn't stop the Omnitrix from self-destructing)
Tetrax: Give me one reason why I shouldn't shove you in an energy tube and shoot you back to Incarcecon right now!
Myaxx: Because I know where Azmuth is.
Ben: That's a pretty good reason.
(the ship bumps into space debris due to Ben's navigation)
Gwen: This is why we don't give him the map when we drive!
Myaxx: What have you done?!
Ben: I ask myself that question all the time.
Myaxx: (regarding Ben) Remind me not to make that kid mad.
Ben: (opening the cargo door) Say bye-bye, Vilgeek!
Tetrax: Don't worry. I've had many of these tests performed on myself. Never felt a thing.
Ben: But don't you have, like, diamond-hard skin?
Tetrax: Uh... good point.
Ben: Wait, you have to tell me how to work this thing.
Azmuth: Don't you want to figure it out on your own... like a true hero would?
Ben: Hmm... not really.
Azmuth: (laughs) I like that boy. (shuts the door and blasts off)
Ben: (flying the space pod) This is better than Sumo Slammer any day!
Gwen: Ben! Are you okay?
Ben: Uh, what? Mom, I don't want to go to school!
Gwen: Yeah. He's okay.
Gwen: Less chit-chat! More combat!
Ben: That was so cool! Let's never do that again.
Tetrax: Are you ready?
Ben: Would "no" be an option?
Gwen: (holding up clothes) How do these make me look?
Ben: Like a total--
(Grandpa Max covers Ben's mouth)
(Omnitrix turns green)
Ben: All right! I got the green early!
Grandpa Max: Hold off now, Ben. We don't know what's going...
Ben: But Animo's getting away! I can't catch him if I don't go hero. Stinkfly clear for takeoff! (transforms into Stinkfly, then to Wildmutt, then to Diamond Head, then to Grey Matter)
Grey Matter: Sometimes I think this thing just plain hates me.
Ben: Going hero!
Myaxx: Ben, no! The self-destruct will accelerate!
Ben: I don't care!
We learn on the pop=up trivia version of this movie that Ben knows how to fly the little alien pod that Tetrax let's him use by videogames for his hand-coordination and for shooting laser beams from tap dance lessons that his mom made him take, but he never admits it.
We learn in the pop-up trivia version of this movie that Way Big has no home world and is an alien that is created by random cosmic storms.
On the pop-up trivia version of this movie, we learn that Vilgax escapes the null-void from a portal that leads to an unknown planet.
Way Big was revealed to Ben by Azmuth with a deliberate transformation to defeat Vilgax's elite force.
Vilgax escaped the Null Void by luck, he found a portal that led him to a distant planet.
Vilgax must be quite old in the movie because when Tetrax was young, Vilgax was already a full grown alien. Now, probably 10 or 20 or 30 years have past.
Main Villain(s): Dr. Animo, Vilgax and Sixsix.
Vilgax calls Ben by his first name for the first time.
Apparently, the females of Vilgax's species have longer side tentacles, and a black spot on their chin.
Among the inmates at Incarceron are the eye-patch-wearing Tetramand and the Galvanic Mechamorph seen in the audience during "Grudge Match."
This movie was actually three episodes combined into one to form a movie. The actual episode numbers are episode 40 through 42 for this movie, meaning the movie actually takes place before Ben gains Ditto and before the episodes that aired on the Summer @ 7 CN block.
When Myaxx explains to Ben about the Omnitrix's self-desruct, she mentions "the Omni-energy". This could be the power source for the Omnitrix.
Ben's new alien from the Alternate Alien Version is an alien named Eye Guy, able to fire energy beams from its many eyes. This happens to be the alien that was on the Omnitrix in the opening of the movie.
An "Alternate Alien Version" of this movie, featuring different aliens then the first version aired on Saturday September 1, 2007. In the opening, an alien named Eye Guy appears instead of Heat Blast. In Australia, XLR8 replaced Heat Blast in the opening sequence.
This is the second time someone calls Vilgax "Vil-geek." The first was Kevin in "Back with a Vengeance."
After Gwen smacks the Lepidopterran that is trying to take the Omnitrix, there is an alien with an eye patch that looks like one of the Great One's worshippers (the only one who could understand him).
Despite the grief Ben gives her, he truly does care about Gwen, seeing as he snapped and could have killed Azmuth.
Running Gag: Someone saying "Who knew?"
This is the third time Ben is in space. Second time for Gwen.
Apparently, Gluto's species can recreate themselves with just a tiny particle of their former being.
Of the 17 aliens on the Omnitrix at the time, thirteen of them were featured in the show (either as one of Ben's changes or as natural aliens).
Of those thirteen, Ben changed into eleven.
The four that did not appear are the four DNA-absorbed aliens at this point in the series, Ghostfreak, Benwolf, Benmummy, and Benvicktor.
With the addition of Way Big and Eye Guy, Ben now has a total of 19 aliens.
We are able to see inside the Omnitrix for the first time.
During the movie's premiere, there was a sneak preview of the upcoming live-action Ben 10 movie, coming November 2007.
Tetrax reveals that Vilgax destroyed his home planet, meaning him and Diamond Head are probably the only remaining Petrosapiens alive.
We learn that Wildvine's species are known as "Florauna."
We learn from the creator of the Omnitrix, Azmuth, that the Omnitrix was never meant to be a weapon, but a way to understand other alien life forms.
This is the second appearance of Tetrax, the Diamond Head alien, last seen in "Hunted."
This movie was shown on TV in wide screen format.
Species from the Omnitrix seen in this movie include: a Piscciss Volanns (Ripjaws), a Glavanic Mechomorph (Upgrade) with white lines, a Tetramand (Four Arms), a female Lepidopterran (Stinkfly), and, of course, Tetrax, a Petrosapien. A female from Vilgax's species (Chimera Sui Generis) was also seen, being Azmuth's assistant. Florauna (Wildvine) were seen as the creatures in Azmuth's lab. And, of course, Azmuth himself, being a Galvan.
A new alien is unlocked by Azmuth after he fixes the Omnitrix. It is a large towering red-and-white alien named Way Big with shark-like fins on its forearms and head, incredible strength and height. Ben uses him like a baseball pitcher to throw Vilgax across the galaxy.
This movie apparently takes place within the series since Vilgax states that he has escaped from the Null-Void chamber.
Sixsix's helmet is shot off, revealing his true face for the first time. For some reason, after this happens he becomes savage and feral, attacking Tetrax like an animal.
Gwen can now use telekinetic spells on her opponents.
Sixsix reappears in this episode, but has been jailed for crimes in the past. He manages to escape and teams up with Vilgax.
This episode features the most alien deaths, since the Great One's destruction in "The Big Tick." Such examples include Vilgax executing the aliens of the ship he stole, the Stinkfly alien being smashed into a vehicle and blowing up and more.
Ben accidentally destroys the hoverboard Tetrax gave him in "Hunted" so that he could defeat Dr. Animo, but Ben got a new one from Tetrax at the end of the movie.
Apparently, if the Omnitrix blows up, it has enough power to destroy the entire universe.
The Omnitrix has a self-destruct function on it. It takes about four days for it to self-destruct after being activated. Of course, the countdown is accelerated with each alien transformation.
Hoverboard's real name is Tetrax.
This is the first movie based on the Ben 10 universe.
Vilgax, Hoverboard and Sixsix return.
Alien Form(s) Used:
1) Heat Blast (Original Version) / Eye Guy (Alternate Alien Version) / XLR8 (Australian/New Zealand version)
4) Diamond Head
5) Grey Matter
6) Wildmutt (2nd)
8) Four Arms
9) Cannon Bolt
10) Way Big
Fifth appearance of Dr. Animo.
Vilgax upgrades his drones to become bulkier and more powerful, similar to how the CIS upgraded their Battle Droids in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.
Eye Guy, Ben's new alien, seems to be based off of the Greek mythological figure, Argus (all eyes). His entire body was covered with eyes. When his head was chopped off by Hermes, his eyes were placed on the head goddess Hera's favorite bird, the peacock, which explains the eyes of the peacock's tail.
The way Tetrax uses his computer in the ship looks like Aelita in a tower from the TV show Code Lyoko.
Vilgax's drones move and fight similar to the way Slade's robots do on Teen Titans.
When Ben unleashed the negative energy from the Omnitrix to disrupt Vilgax's robots, it was similar to Transformers The Movie, where Rodimus Prime unleashed the Matrix's power to destroy the inside of Unicron.
Eye Guy: Name/Appearance/Powers
Eye Guy seems to be based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers monster of the same name, who is composed entirely of eyes, some of which energy beams can be shot from.
Bio-suit: Wizard of Oz
Similiar to the Wizard, Azmuth's bio-suit gives the illusion of being stronger than he really is, rather than being a relatively weak person in their natural form.
Ben: (surfing on a hoverboard)
When we see Ben surfing in the hologram sky, it resembles the Nirvash Type Zero lifting in the sky from Eureka Seven.
Way Big: Form
Ben's new alien form looks like the robots from Evangelion.
Way Big: Color
Way Big's color makes him look like the Nirvash Type Zero from Eureka Seven.
Way Big: Appearance
Ben's new giant form is reminiscent of Ultra Man, the giant alien monster hunter of Japanese fame, of which several versions with a few visual differences are known to exist with different beings. But the one thing they have in common is the giant silver body with the red markings, the giant yellow eyes, the fin on the head, and the round symbol in the center of the chest.
Way Big Battle
Way Big's battle with the flyers is reminiscent of King Kong and his fight with the planes.
Tetrax's Scanner Controls
The controls that Tetrax uses to scan the Onmitrix for the DNA signature are similar to the controls of the computer that helps the "Precrime" officers in Minority Report.
The radio broadcast says that a horde of zombies are attacking a mall. This is from the original and remake of George A. Romero's horror film Dawn of the Dead, and is also based off of the "Xbox 360" game, Dead Rising.
