The guardian of the fountain said the effects wear off if you don't keep drinking the water, so shouldn't Hex have revert back to normal age by the time Charmcaster found him?
Gwen told Ben how they drained Hex and Charmcaster of their powers in "Tough Luck", but why would she think that when she can clearly see that Hex was also using his powers. Also, didn't she forget Charmcaster still had her powers in "A Change of Face"?
Look Closely: After young Max said, "Never realized she was such a spoiled sport" to Gwen and Ben, the ice cream cone in his hand vanishes.
Captions Tidbit: When Young Max is talking about his ice cream, the closed captioning shows Ben saying it.
Look Closely/Pay Attention: How was Charmcaster able to find Hex? She didn't know about Hex's plan, and she's supposed to be in jail.
No adequate reason is ever given as to why the Fountain's guardian would fill a midway dunking booth with its water.
Pay Attention: When Grandpa Max becomes young, he has to use Ben's clothes since his are too big. However, when Ben becomes young, his clothes fit him perfectly. But this may have something to do with the Omnitrix.
Baby Hex: I'm still all powerful! Charmcaster: Sure you are. Baby Hex: Put me down, Charmcaster! Charmcaster: Gee, Uncle Hex, something tells me I'll be giving the orders from now on.
Gwen: (to Young Ben) Even if you went Heat Blast to melt Hex, he'd just blow you out like you were a birthday candle. Ben: Oh, yeah? (turns into Heat Blast)
Ben: (sitting in the car seat) This is so uncool!
Ben: (looking at Young Max) You're like me! Gwen: That's scary.
Grandpa Max: (reading the plaque) Why do the words have to be so small? Ben: Well, Grandpa, if you can't read the words, then maybe we should get you a magnifying glass. Or a telescope!
Young Max: Forget watching what I eat anymore. Look, I got rocky road, mint chip, and chunka-hunka bubble--real pieces of bubble gum in ever bite. See? (blows a bubble, it bursts in Gwen's face) Gwen: Ugh! Young Max: (laughs)
Gwen: (looking though her spell book) Nope. Won't work. Wrong spell. Only applies to armadillos?
(Ben turns into a four-year-old) Young Ben: This is not funny. Gwen: I always knew I was more mature than you.
(Ben and Grandpa are back to normal age and are about to board the RV, Ben opens the door) Gwen: Age before ugly!
Gwen: The one thing about old people is they don't want to be reminded they're old. Ben: I wouldn't worry about Grandpa getting mad at me for saying stuff like that. Gwen: And why is that? Ben: 'Cause he can't hear me over your nagging. (points his water gun at her) I got you beat! Grandpa Max: I heard that! What do you mean I have lead feet? Ben: (to Gwen) Told ya! (squirts water in her face)
Gwen: Great, just who we need - Wildpup. What are you gonna do to it, lick it to death?
Gwen: We have to turn you back. I'm getting my spell book. Young Max: Wait. No aches, no pains - I want to enjoy this for a while. Gwen: Hello, Hex is on the loose, and he's after something that sounds mega-important! Young Max: Never realized she was such a spoiled sport. Ben: Tell me about it.
Young Ben: My feet hurt. I don't want to walk anymore. I'm tired! Gwen: Stop being such a baby. Oops, you can't!
Young Ben: Going hewo... uh, hero! (transforms into Wildpup)
This is the first and only time we have seen Ben, Grandpa Max, and Hex as children.
In the pre-opening scene, Hex refers to Gwen as Lucky Girl, the superhero name she adopted in the season one episode by the same name.
As of now, every episode with Hex in it, Wildmutt and Four Arms are always used.
Stinkyfly and Ben 10,000's Stinkfly had visible pupils, but Ben 10's version of Stinkfly does not.
Apparently, the Omnitrix's aliens (and appearance) are all depending on the Omnitrix's wearer's age. Since Ben was 4 years old in this episode, his aliens were younger and smaller with different powers (Stinkyfly, for example). This could possibly explain why the aliens looked so different from "Ben 10,000", it follows the wearer's age and their "evolutionary" stages.
Apparently Max was very agile as a kid; during the fight with the plant monsters, he was seen doing flips and long leaps to avoid the plants.
Grandpa Max has reading glasses.
Apparently, even four-year-old Tetramands (Four Arms) have immense strength.
Towards the end, the Fountain Guardian points out that a person must drink from the fountain regularly to retain the youth (which is proven when Ben and Max change back). Going by this, it is safe to assume that the Guardian will revert to his proper age (400+ years old) and not make any future appearances, as he will be dead.
Apparently, if Heat Blast is enraged enough, he can go "supernova."
Alien Form(s) Used: 1) Cannon Bolt. 2) Four Arms. 3) Wildmutt. 4) Stinkfly. 5) Heat Blast.
Charmcaster appears at the end of the episode, retrieving baby Hex.
According to Gwen, Ben was four years old, and Grandpa Max was ten.
Main Villain(s): Hex.
Ben's alien forms are changed in accordance with his age loss.
This is the third and final appearance of Hex.
Evil Plants: Jimmy Neutron The plants Hex bewitched to make alive and prevent the Tennysons from interfering looked exactly like the giant crabgrass from the Jimmy Neutron episode "The Feud."
