When Ben tries to take apart the Omnitrix to see how it works, he ends up breaking off its face and causing weird combinations of his alien forms when he transforms. Additionally, the broken piece begins mutating the smaller creatures it comes into contact with. Meanwhile, Dr. Animo escapes from prison and, during a battle with Ben, finds the broken piece of the Omnitrix. Using it, he is able to complete his large-scale Transmodulator, giving him the power to mutate the entire planet in a single shot. • Dr. Animo returns at the same time Ben breaks the Omnitrix.

    7.0
This episode was both very disturbing and disgusting. I expected this episode to be a lot better than what it came out to be. As I said before, I don't like Dr. Animo. He's a creepy weirdo if you ask me. It was cool how the Omnitrix fused two aliens together when Ben wanted to go alien. I also liked the part where Ben kept yelling at Gwen to tell him, 'I told you so'. The part that disgusted me was the scene where Dr. Animo turned Grandpa Max into that ugly slimy slug creature. It was disgusting! I hated the fact that he was throwing up everywhere.moreless
  • Fusion has arrived.

    9.5
Ben\'s omitrix can now fuse two alien forms to become one. I was expecting this to happen, since Ben gets new alien forms and can now have his two alien forms become one. This was something I was hoping to see. I kind of suspect that Four Arms and Stinkfly might fuse into a flying muscle arm alien. But I didn\'t suspect Diamond Head and Grey Matter to become one, but that was very funny. And my favorite of all, which I was really hoping to see was that Heatblast and Rip Jaws became one. I wanted to see that since Fire and Water don\'t mix well, but it was a good combination. The next alien fusions that I want to see are Wildmutt and Wildvine becoming Vinemutt; Ghostfreak and Upgrade becoming Ghostgrade; and Heatblast and Cannon Bolt becoming Heat Bolt.moreless
  • Ben messes with the Omnitrix and becomes mixed combinations.

    9.7
I really good episode. I didn't expect it to be this great! I'm amazed at the new combinations. I love the Stinksarms creature he looks real cool. Diamondmatter is now my favorite alien even though he is just a combination of Diamondhead and Greymatter. Heatjaws could of done better however. All it was was Ripjaws with Heatblasts's arms and legs. I did enjoy the return of Animo. You have to love parinoid scientists who waste their life doing starge experiments. Lol! I was about to burst out laughing when I saw the StinkMax thing. He was just ugly! Any way, this was a good episode and I am looking really forward to next one.moreless
  • I loved the pyronite bat dr animo created

Another great episode of ben 10

An omsim episode. With the return of dr Animo, and the Omnitrix's face piece is broken of , how are they going to stop the manaical genius this time? Absolutely incredible . I loved this episode, it was a great way to keep us fans occupied. The combinations were hilarious, and the ever-contradicting 'Heatjaws' was great.

I also seemed to notice that the animation has gotten much better in this episode, showing that we have a lot to look forward to in season 3.

Sadly, Max got turned into some sort of Lepidopterran larvae, he seems to be a dartboard or something for Man of Action. Although that might just be the fact that he cares for his grandkids, no matter what happens. Maybe MOA will have something in store for our dear Gwen Tennyson.

Anyways, an amazing episode, I'd watch it again and again.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • Pay Attention: When Heat Jaws turns Grandpa Max back to normal, the faceplate of the Omnitrix is inside Animo's mutant ray. But after the transformation, it mysteriously changes to Gwen holding it.

    • Look Closely: When the faceplate falls off the Omnitrix, one of the "gems" is clear, but later on it turns back to being green.

    • Think Back: As it stands for Season 2. The only true appearance of Heat Blast was in "Big Tick". Even then he had no dialogue. Every other time it was either Gwen, Kevin, or a hybrid of Heat Blast and Ripjaws. Therefore we can say that Heat Blast only appeared once in season 2.

    • Goof: At the end of the episode, Ben said he wanted to change into ''XLRFreak,'' meaning that Ghostfreak is still on the Omnitrix, but Ghostfreak was already destroyed in "Ghostfreaked Out."

    • Look Closely: When the Tennysons enter the observatory, Animo's frog leaps directly onto their boat, smashing it and sending them flying in all directions. When they get up, they are somehow closely grouped on the same upper ledge.

  • QUOTES (23)

    • (Ben becomes Heat Jaws)
Heat Jaws: Heat Blast and Ripjaws. Not the best combo.

    • Dr. Animo: (about Heat Jaws) What do we have here? A walking fish fry!

    • Grandpa Max: (after returning to normal) Why do I have this strange craving for rotten eggs and sugar water?

    • Gwen: I feel like I'm watching a rerun.
Dr. Animo: (on television, being put into a police car) You have not seen the last of me!
Gwen: (switches off TV) Yeah, I wish!

    • Ben: (about the Heat Blast bat) Whoa! It's Heat Blast gone batty!

    • Heat Jaws: Heat Blast and Ripjaws? (sighs) Not the best combination.

    • Diamond Matter: Could this get any worse?
      (the Heat Blast bat approaches)
Diamond Matter: I had to ask!

    • Ben: Okay, Dr. Freakimo, party's over!

    • (Ben turns around and sees Dr. Animo)
      Ben: Dr. Animo. How did---
Dr. Animo: I find you? Wasn't difficult to track your alien exploits, when you insist on helping people all the time! You thought you were such a big-shot, after stopping all my mutated creations! But they were only the beginning. I will not be denied my place in history!

    • (Baby alligators run out of the water and into some grass)
Ben: What are they running from? They're alligators.

    • (Diamond Matter struggles with cutting through the trees)
Diamond Matter: I wish Diamond Matter was more of a tough guy!

    • (Gwen, Ben, & Grandpa Max are looking for Dr. Animo)
Gwen: We've been at this for hours.
Grandpa Max: We have to keep looking. If the "good doctor" can figure out how to tap into the watch's DNA, who knows what could happen.

    • (Ben and Gwen get down from the machine)
Gwen: Oh, Ben, I almost forgot. (turns to Ben) Um, (shouting) I told you so!

    • Grandpa Max: Looks like an old observatory.
Ben: What's an observatory doing in the middle of a swamp?
Gwen: Without the lights from the city, the stars are brighter and can be seen more clearly.
Ben: Oh, thank you, Miss Know-it-all. Bet you're just dying to tell me how I screwed up.
Gwen: Not at all. This is the most fun I've had all summer.

    • (Ben transforms into Diamond Matter)
Diamond Matter: Oh, man! Diamond Head and Grey Matter. I'm a razor-sharp hood ornament!

    • (as Dr. Animo's "Heat Blast" creature attacks)
Gwen: Gee, do you think Animo has figured out the power in that piece of the watch?
Ben: That is definitely an "I told you so."

    • Ben: I saw that! Go ahead, say it. You know you want to.
      Gwen: Say what?
Ben: You know, the big "I told you so" speech about messing around with the Omnitrix and how you were right all along and if I'd listened to you, we wouldn't be in the trouble that we are in right now!
      Gwen: I didn't say a word.
Ben: Yeah, but you're thinking about it. Admit it. There's no way I am waiting. Just go ahead and say it now and get it over with.
Gwen: I don't know what you're talking about, Benjamin.
Ben: Grandpa, Gwen won't say "I told you so!"

    • (Ben transforms into Stink Arms)
      Grandpa Max: Ben, you're--
      Gwen: Stink Arms?
Stink Arms: Four Arms and Stinkfly's body? Must be another new alien. Now I can fly and kick butt at the same time. Cool!
(Dr. Animo's giant frog attacks him; Stink Arms attempts to carry it)
Stink Arms: You--You gained weight since last time, or I'm not as strong as I used to be. Aah! (gets crushed by the giant frog)

    • (as some alligator eggs are about to hatch)
Grandpa Max: You know, I think you kids are gonna enjoy this. It is a rare event.
Gwen: You mean like Ben changing his underwear?

    • Ben: (about the Omnitrix) There, good as new.
      Gwen: What's good as new?
Ben: I wish I could say your face, but it's the same old one.
Gwen: I think the Florida heat has fried your brain!

    • Ben: (outside the RV; about the Omnitrix) Oh, man! I am gonna get so busted if anybody sees this.
      Grandpa Max: Ben?
      Gwen: What was that?
Ben: (puts his hands behind his back) What was what?
Grandpa Max: What was that noise?
      Ben: Uh, lightning?
Gwen: There's not a cloud in the sky.
Ben: Uh, lightning got rid of them?

    • Gwen: What are you doing?
Ben: Who knows how many more alien hero dudes are inside this thing? I just have to figure out how it works.
Gwen: You shouldn't mess around with that thing, Ben. You're just asking for trouble.
Ben: Just chill out. I know what I'm doing.
      Gwen: That'd be a first.

    • (Heat Jaws gets flung around by the mutant toad)
Heat Jaws: I don't like this ride.

  • NOTES (11)

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    • Alien Forms: Fusion
Ben's two alien forms fusing to become one is just like Jaden's basic Elemetal Heroes fusing to be a fusion Elemetal Hero from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

    • Dr. Animo: Professor Chang
Dr. Animo's observatory lair was remarkably similar to Professor Chang's in the Teen Titans episode "X." The Transmodulator ray was like his disintegration cannon, and when Gwen was running from his blasts, it even looked like a scene from "X" when Robin was running from the disintegration ray's blasts.

    • Gatorfest: Festivities
The gatorfest is held annually in Anahuac, Texas, the state's "Alligator Capital".

    • Dr. Animo: The next evolution will be televised!
This is a reference to the Gil Scott-Heron poem and song, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised."
