  • it was unoriginal but good show.

    9.4
When a television show called Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures, which stars corny cartoon versions of Fourarms, Heatblast, and Wildmutt, shows up, Ben wants credit. Furthermore, it has replaced his favorite show, Kangaroo Commando. It just so happens Ben and Gwen are visiting Planetary Studios at the time, so he tries to confront the producer about it. Meanwhile, strange accidents begin occurring around the actor who plays The Commando, conveniently allowing the actor to save the day. The Commando suspects that the artist producing the cartoon, Tim Dean, is responsible, but Gwen suspects foul play on the Commando's part. ben is in it.moreless
  • Can't anyone come up with something original in Hollywood?

    2.7
Ben's aliens are starring in a crappy network cartoon and he wants credit for it. Even worse, his favorite TV show has been pulled off the air by the same network. A very stupid episode that was made just for a filler and a throwaway joke at the end. And Naruto look-alikes. Man, if Cartoon Network ever rips off someone else's show, I'm going to puke. The rip off TV show, Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures, stars Wild Mutt as Doggy Buddy, Four Arms as Handy Buddy, and Heat Blast as Fiery Buddy. Or is that the other way around? I came up with "buddy names" for the rest of the aliens too. Diamond Head = Shiny Buddy XLR8 = Speedy Buddy Grey Matter = Tiny Buddy Stinkfly = Gooey Buddy Ripjaws = Swimmy Buddy Upgrade = Technology Buddy Ghostfreak = Ghosty Buddy Cannonbolt = Rolly Buddy Wildvine = Planty Buddy Benwolf = Roary Buddy Benmummy = Mummy Buddy Benvicktor = Zombie Buddy Upchuck = Munchy Buddy Eye Guy = See-y Buddy Way Big = Hugey Buddy Ditto = Splitty Buddy Artiguana = Freezy Buddy Spitter = Spitty Buddy Megawhatt / Buzzshock = Zappy Buddy So, I thought up them, and now I thought of a parody of the episode... Super Alien Hangover Drinking Buddy Adventures! How does that sound? Eyeguy3moreless
  • a cartoon show is made about ben's alien heroes.

One of the worst episodes of ben 10.This episode is stupid and is totally random.the plot is non-creative and boring.Ben 10 can do so much better. Most of the story does not make sense and most of the characters aren't used alot and it doesn't include any aliens. Why would ben be so crazy over one television show.Although there are some good things about this episode like the explosions and heatblast's fire but grandpa max hardly does anything and this episode is basically boring.Gwen isn't a very important character in this episode and at the end it's just ridiculous.I think this episode is the worst by FAR.moreless
  • Great episode, but could of been better.

    8.9
This episode was like any Ben 10 episode: Amazing. However, seeing Four Arms once again not using his powers like he should, was once again a letdown. Heat Blast and Wildvine were good as usual, and the plot was well structured, too. The major plot hole, which was already pointed out, was the main reason the episode was a bit of a drag. Surely, riping off Ben's aliens and making them into a cheesey cartoon had to take some time. And if no one believed Ben was the real deal, he could of transformed into XLR8, for better proof. Still, it was very amusing.moreless
  • Four arms, wild mutt and heatblast star in a rip of cartoon!

    8.7
I dont think this wos the best of episodes but it woz pretty funny. It starts off with a rip off version of three of Ben's aliens (four arms, wild mutt and heat balst) but they are called handy buddy, doggy budy and firey buddy they then go to a film studio were they meet bens favourite hero Kangaroo Komando a parody of Batman there then is a fight between Kangaroo Kamando and Heatbalst(the real one). Then there is an explosion on KK's ride which ben goes four arms to save some people and while saving two kids they thank him but call him handy buddy but ben corrects them and the kids say he can get into trouble by ripping of handy buddy but he just replys 'Sue me.' At the end there is a fight and that about sums it up.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Think Back: Ben becomes Four Arms by accident in this episode, something which rarely happens as he is the selected alien.

    • Think Back: This is the second episode in which Max isn't a main character, focusing more on Ben and Gwen.

    • Pay Attention: It looked like Ben was Wildvine for longer than 10 minutes in this episode.

    • Look Closely: After Ben turns into Wildvine, the flash of the Omnitrix is blue, not green like it should be.

    • Ben 10 Tidbit: Since it can't have been two months since Ben got his alien powers (it's still summer, after all), it's impossible for a cartoon show about his heroes to have been made in such a short time. Even allowing the possibility that the animators are incredibly fast, forming a voice cast, getting approval from the studio, and just pitching the idea in a way that wouldn't get them sued would take several weeks alone, if not months. But not only is the show ready, but they have merchandise in stores, giant balloons, etc. It's literally impossible in the span of time in which the series has taken place thus far.

    • Pay Attention: While Abel is shown dangling over a vat of acid, Tim is grabbed by another man dressed like Kangaroo Commando. Later dialogue reveals this to be Kane. However, slow motion reveals that the kidnapper does not have a moustache like Kane does, revealing that Kane's moustache is fake.

  • QUOTES (8)

    • Kane North: Attention, park-goers. I am pleased to inform you of the demise of that hack, Abel North, and that talentless animator, Tim Dean!
      Abel North: Hack?!
      Tim Dean: Talentless?!

    • Four Arms: We should team up!
Kangaroo Commando: Tried that once with Marsupial Man. Until I caught him putting my gadgets into his pouch!

    • Kane: I'm the real Kangaroo Commando. I built all the gadgets and special effects while you took all the credit.
Gwen: So, why did you kidnap Dean?
Kane: Because he ripped off my idea.
Wildvine: Can't anybody come up with anything original in Hollywood?

    • Gwen: (riding on Stinkfly's back) Look, North is heading for his dressing room. Take us down.
Stinkfly: I'll land when I'm good and ready. (Omnitrix beeps; reverts back to Ben)
(Ben & Gwen fall into a pool of water below)

    • Announcer: (on TV) Hey, folks. Don't forget, we'll be premiering a brand-new episode of Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures right here on the big screens at Planetary Studios Hollywood.
Stinkfly: I've got a premiere for you! (spits mucus all over the TV screens)
      Gwen: Real mature, Stinkbreath.

    • Kid: Thanks, Handy Buddy.
Four Arms: Name's Four Arms, not Handy Buddy.
Kid: You could get in trouble ripping off Handy Buddy like that.
      Four Arms: Sue me.

    • Ben: Bad enough they ripped me off with some dumb cartoon. Did they have to make me look like a total dweeb?
Gwen: Yeah, as if you need help looking like a total dweeb.

    • Grandpa Max: (to Ben & Gwen) You kids have a relaxing day at the park?
Ben: Relaxing in a Ben Tennyson kind of way.

  • NOTES (10)

  • ALLUSIONS (9)

    • Naruto: Sakura Haruno
Near the end of the episode there is a girl within the crowd that is dressed like Sakura Haruno from the anime and manga Naruto, but does not have pink hair.

    • Naruto: Similarities
In one scene, where Ben is speaking with Kangaroo Commando, if you look closely in the background, you can see three kids hanging together. These kids resemble Konahamaru, Udon, and Moegi. If you look even closer, you will see one of the kids is even wearing Konohamaru's goggles on top of his head!

    • Trinity Blood: Similarities
In this episode, Kane, being the bad guy, tried to kill his brother, Abel, the good guy. Coincidentally, in Trinity Blood, Cain is the bad guy and Abel is the good guy. Also, this episode of Ben 10, "Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures," aired on the same day as the series finale of Trinity Blood.

    • Kane North & Abel North: Names
The names Kane and Abel may have been taken from the characters, Cain and Abel, from the Hebrew Bible. Coincidentally, Cain, in the bible, kills Abel while Kane, in Ben 10, tried to kill Abel.

    • Dinosaur Head: Reference
The fire-breathing dinosaur head Wildvine encounters resembles Godzilla.

    • Tim Dean: Name
The name is possibly a play with the last names of the creators of Batman: The Animated Series: Bruce Timm and Paul Dini.

    • Kangaroo Commando: Parody
Kangaroo Commando is a parody of Batman, and his actor Abel North is also a parody of Adam West, the same actor who played Batman in the 1960s TV series. In addition, the character is also a nod to Captain Kangaroo, a mainstay of children's television for decades.

    • Doggy Buddy: Speech
Doggy Buddy (Wildmutt's SAHBA counterpart) talks with R's in front of every word. This form of speech was most memorable from Scooby-Doo, but was also used by Astro of The Jetsons.

    • Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures: Villains
The villains on "Super Alien Hero Buddy Adventures" are spoofs of KND villains. Bowling Ball Bandit is similar to the Dodgeball Wizard, Gumdrop Wizard is similar to Stickybeard, and the Kitty Litterer is similar to the Crazy Old Cat Lady.
