What a fabulous episode. The showdown between Madge and Sylvia is a true classic. Sooooooo funny and well acted by both actresses involved. Great to see Wendy Richard again too. Have liked her since way back in "Are you being served".

The cowboy hats, the smoke escaping between the lips, all remeniscent of great western, especially High Noon.

This scene should be shown to all film students as a prime example of how to do an alternate, spoof version of a classic movie scene. A real joy to watch and made even more enjoyable by the actions and comments of the surrounding actors!!moreless

    • Madge: I've met your type before, all fur coat and no knickers.
Sylvia: And I've met your type before, I used to work in a nuthouse.

    • Mick: Right, what's for dinner.
Janice: I don't know, but I could eat a horse and go back for the jockey.

    • Receptionist: Look, I'm sorry but we cannot move you again because this is the second time you've broke your bed.
Donald: It's ridiculous, the beds simply aren't sturdy enough.
Receptionist: I can assure you, all our beds are reinforced to withstand up to fifty stone. We know what we're doing, this is Benidorm, it's not exactly a Mecca for the anorexic.
Jaqueline: I mean, if we were really going at it with three or four friends on the bed, well fair enough, but it was just the two of us, wasn't it?
      Donald: Absolutely.
Receptionist: The thing is... Three or four friends?
Donald: We're a very sociable couple.
Receptionist: Well, that's one word for it.
