Bert and Dickie Season 1 Episode 1

Five weeks before the double sculls final in the 1948 London Olympics Bert Bushnell and Dickie Burnell are thrown together as an unlikely pairing. Boat builder's son Bert has a chip on his shoulder about the upper classes but must put his grievances aside to work with Eton and Oxford educated Dickie. As they begin to work together, they begin a journey to winning Gold and help raise the spirits of a country still feeling the effects of the Second World War.
