But when Bette's usual antics go too far, she winds up getting Dolly arrested.moreless
  • Midler takes potshots at herself.

    "Good"
This episode has Bette, not only trying to find a way to make the material work, but seeming to go over the top to try to get viewer's mind off of how bad the material is.

We can handle Bette going over the top, because that's basically what made her the star she is.

She takes pot-shots at her media persona of being narcussistic, controling and tempermental. Who else would make their teen-age daughter don a costume and go trick-or-treating right?

Toe tags for the supporting cast, once again.

Guest Dolly Parton brings some light to the episode as she usually does wherever she goes. Check it out if only to laugh at Midler and see her perform along side Ms Parton.moreless
