Bette appears on The View to plug her new CD and, when she has no stories to tell, implies that she saved a boy who was drowning. But complications ensue when she has to appear again on the show and have a reunion with the fictional boy.moreless

Badly conceived premise makes for more torturous tv.

Even Bette couldn't find anything in this story line to save.

She shows up and acts goofy and campy and diva-licious, but seems to have just said "why beat a dead horse?"

It's obvious all the wind has gone out of the star's sails. She's huffed and puffed and...well, it just came back to slap her in the face.

It is, however, a good farce on just how desperate celebrities can be to stay in the limelight. As we know that current trends are not about talent but about publicity and celebrity.

This is a waste of a multi-talented performer's ability...and whoever decided to waste such greatness should go down with the show.moreless
