Racially biased motion sensor system man that was funny. This is by far the funniest episode i have ever seen that deals with racial issues, i mean the manual drinking fountain it had me laughing like a hyena. The comecial was a touch of gold put one guy in front of white poeple at the start then use white people throught the commercial classic.

This is the first time that as a black man I have laughed at things that otherwise world get me PO. I love this show.

The Ted Linda story was funny enough but I missed Ted's Daughter she is funny especially when veronica talks to her its COMEDY GOLD I TELL YOU, COMEDY GOLD
  • truely one of the funniest episodes of any show

Finally an episode of ANY show that hits the racial sensitivity right in the face! Was laughing til it hurt from the moment the motion sensor didnt see black people to the white guys following the black guys to trigger the sensors.. and the fake diversity commercial with all white people featured.. a scream! Probably not the 'best' television, but the constant funny scenes..right after another..is pure gold in this episode. I almost spit out my coffee when I saw the scene with the 'manual' water fountain that was labeled 'for blacks'. Being trapped in work because he couldn't trigger the sensor to open the door..and the security guard that couldnt leave his kisok for the same reason.. omg.

With all the PC going on in TV, it is so refreshing to get back to what is funny!
  • Probably one of the funniest 30 minutes of TV I've seen in years.

Witty, smart, completely UN-Politically Correct and all delivered with fantastic comedic timing. I love the subject matter, especially in this volatile political climate. A great example that almost anything can be made fun of if done right!

And the Veridian Dynamics commercial that aires was also just briliant. Just simply hands down one of the most original and funny episodes of a sitcom I've seen. No fear - no failure!

This the episode I'm quoting and using to try and bring more viewers on board for this show. I STILL find myself laughing when talking about it to others - it's just that funny and good.

    Bring on more like it!
  • We continue to learn more of Ted and his adventures inside Veridian dynamics

I liked the episode, it was pretty funny. I like how they use the corporate world and have laughs about it. Veridian Dynamics reminds me of Eureka on Scifi but with a lot less scifi stuff on it and concentrates more on people and their different personalities. Ted continues to be hang up on Linda and she has a boyfriend just to make him jealous. In this episode we see a racial problem with the motion detectors at the company that creates problems and oportunities for everybody. Just another day at Veridian Dynamics. Viewers. Yay!Hehe starting to be a fan of this show.
  • Perfect example of the heart of this show! Big fan, even bigger after this one.

This is one of my favorites! I know it's early in the series, but this one was really great. I particularly enjoyed Lem's plotline (I wasn't as keen on his story in the past couple episodes) and I like how it worked well with Ted's finally. I missed his daughter in this, but the addition of the ex-boyfriend was a big help. Ted is adorable and his relationship is very fun to watch grow. I just couldn't get enough of the idea of the sensors not touching Lem and having a white guy follow him around. Indifference, at best. It was a classic!
  • Freaking racist and funny...

I never expected this show to pull off a brilliant episode after putting together some immature stuff in the earlier installments. The 'black guy' storyline is usually cliched when it tries to employ cultural stereotypes to create a comic effect. And it works most of the time. Here, what was really great was the fact that they didn't have to use any of those stereotypes. I absolutely loved the motion sensor idea. Lem has definitely proved he can act better than most people in the cast. We see Ted enjoying the company of Linda's new boyfriend, which irks Linda. There were a lot of awesome sequences involving him and Veronica. I just hope it gets better. But practically speaking, it is impossible to come up with such brilliant scripts all the time.
  • So funny I had to keep pausing.

I can't remember the last time I laughed this much in 30 minutes. I had to keep pausing. Shows like this can't possibly last. It's too good.

At least while it lasts I can remember the last brilliant show that didn't: Arrested Development.

We live in a culture that's verbally Victorian in our inability to laugh out ourselves unless we get crude or obscene. This episode celebrates the unspeakable fact that African Americans have, big shocker, darker skin. And it makes light of the situation that can arise from technology that tries to be too clever. I'm just hoping that this is a sign that people in general can be more accepting about our differences. Then we can celebrate the differences, poking fun at them like in this episode, instead of trying to be over-sensitive, blind to everything politically correct automatons.
  • Wow, this show keeps getting better and better. This episode had me in complete hysterics, I nearly died laughing. I believe this show has some true potential to take off and become the next Arrested Development.

Wow, this show keeps getting better and better. This episode had me in complete hysterics, I nearly died laughing. I believe this show has some true potential to take off and become the next Arrested Development. Jokes about race are typically pretty old any more, but this episode took an entire new spin on it, and it came out as one of the funniest episodes I've ever witnessed on TV. Portia de Rossi is an incredible actress, and the way she delivers every single line is completely flawless; it seems like the role was written for her. Jay Harrington, Andrea Anders, Malcolm Barrett, and Jonathan Slavin are all amazing in their respected roles as well. I really hope this show sticks around for a long time, and I urge you to give it a try.
