Charles: I did it. I tracked down the cab that the girl was riding in, and the driver gave me this. James: An earring? Charles: Yeah. Dusty: Ah, man, you and that cab driver must have really hit it off.
James: Let me see some ID, man...cause you can't be my brother. You letting that go? Charles: What? James: Come on man, that was classic, the old bump and splash...she did that whole thing to meet you, man. Charles: Okay doctor love, if she wanted to meet me, why'd she walk out the front door? James: How do you ever get dates? The chase man, she wanted you to chase her. You got to stop letting some of the opportunities pass you by. I'm starting to look at you funny.
(Charles wonders if Stuart caught Phil, who ran out of The Corner Pub) Charles: Stuart, did you catch him? Stuart: I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm a smoker, who doesn't spend a lot of time on the treadmill. I lost him at the top of the stairs.
The series has now been picked up by UPN a year later after being cancelled by the FOX network.
(Dusty and James walk in and join Mitchell) Phil: Who's this, the Sugarhill Gang? The Sugarhill Gang is a group of three men (Big Bank Hank, Master Gee, and Wonder Mike) that formed in the late 70s. They are best known for singing "Rapper's Delight," which was the first hip hop single to become a Top 40 hit.
