The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger finds himself on a game show in Adventure 7,657: Cliff Hanger and Quentin Quigley's Quick Question. When Quentin Quigley shows up in a blimp and asks Cliff Hanger if he wants be on his game show Off a Cliff!, Cliff Hanger consults his trusty survival manual, which advises him to say "yes." Unfortunately, Cliff Hanger incorrectly answers "True" to the statement that he will get off the cliff, and is left hanging.
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger gets a tempting offer in Adventure 255: Cliff Hanger and the Judge of Jam Jar Jugglers. He spots a famous judge of jam jar jugglers being judged by Jeeves. His trusty Survival Manual tells him that he should juggle. It's most opportune, as the judge is searching for someone to juggle in a movie. He likes Cliff's one-armed juggling act, but the film calls from someone who can juggle with two arms. So Cliff is left hanging. And that's why he's called Cliff Hanger!
This was the only episode of the season to feature both the Gawain's Word and Blending Bowl segments.
Blending Bowl: "J" and "ump" blend together in an exciting play in this segment hosted by Terry Bradshaw.
Gawain's Word: "J" and "uggle" joust, making the word juggle. They then attempt juggling, but drop the ball.
Blending Bowl: In an exciting play, "p" and "oke" blend together to make the word "poke." The referee then gets poked.
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: A mole holding a rope appears in Adventure 9,000: Cliff Hanger, the Mole and the Rope. Cliff Hanger consults his trusty survival manual. It advises him to ask the mole to throw him the other end of the rope. He asks and the mole does so. The mole, who looks and sounds like an evil scientist, decides to give him the whole rope instead, saying "I'm at the end of my rope." His hope of rescue dashed, Cliff is left hanging from the cliff once again. (And that's why he's called Cliff Hanger!)
Blending Bowl: "M" and "arch" blend together make the word "march" in a fantastic play.
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger hears the music of a marching band on his cliff in Adventure 1,000,001: Cliff Hanger and the Marching Band. After consulting his trusty manual, he asks to join them. They tell him he has to show his skill first, so he plays a variation on the Cliff Hanger theme tune on the tuba. Unfortunately, the band already has too many tuba players. He asks if they can at least give him a hand and they all applaud as they march away.
Blending Bowl: "Wh" and "irl" blend together to make the word "whirl."
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger catches sight of a whale in Adventure 3787: Cliff Hanger and the Massive Whale. He consults his trusty Survival Manual, which encourages him to jump onto the blast of water coming from the whale's blowhole. He does so, but ends up being blown back up again and so ends up back hanging from the cliff.
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger dresses up as a lap dog in Adventure 212: Cliff Hanger, the Lap Dog and the Riddle. When he overhears a father looking for a lap dog for his daughter, he dons the costume. However, her riddle sends him flying high.
Blending Bowl: A new feature, similar to Gawain's Word. In this segment, featuring play-by-play by Terry Bradshaw, "C" and "ook" blend to make "Cook." The theme from Monday Night Football is played.
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger dresses up as a baby nightingale in Adventure 919: Cliff Hanger and the Nightingales. They fail to realize, however, that he's not a real baby nightingale and try to make him fly.
Gawain's Word: "N" and "ight" blend together to make "night," which causes nighttime to fall on the arena.
Patty Loveless and Buddy Jewell guest star and perform the music video "I Got a Reason to Read."
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger spots two musical talent scouts in Adventure 11,000,012: Cliff Hanger Sings the Blues. He consults his Trusty Survival Manual, which advises him to let them hear him sing. He performs a blues number about his being stuck on the cliff. They decide that they think he has talent, but feel that the chorus that performs the "Cliff Hanger" theme song is better. And that's why he's called Cliff Hanger!
Blending Bowl: Terry Bradshaw of NFL football hosts this segment in which "C" and "ook" blend together in a fantastic play to make the word "cook."
The Adventures of Cliff Hanger: Cliff Hanger encounters a group of giggly chickens with a chain in Adventure 12,363: Cliff Hanger and the Chuckling Chickens. The chickens misunderstand his usage of the word "down" and hand him soft feathers. They tell him to the "enjoy the down and you can keep the chain!" And that's why he's called Cliff Hanger!
