Fun episode here, as it's Presidents Day Weekend, and most of the gang sets to head out to Palm Springs for the big weekend. Poor Scott gets burned by his best friend David. Scott has to go to Magic Mountain by himself, while David ditches him to invite Steve and Kelly to his grandparents place in Palm Springs. Unfortunately this is the first time that it appears that David seems to be getting "cooler" while poor Scott is still a dweeb. That will come into clearer focus in season 2. This is the first episode where David gets some reasonable camera time, and I think he does well playing the spoiled selfish kid. Steve makes a futile attempt to win Kelly back. She rejects him, and it's clear that reality is finally setting into Steve that he and Kelly won't ever happen again. Brenda is finally set to give it up to Dylan, but forgets what hotel he is staying at. When she finally figures it out she catches Dylan with another girl in his hotel room, though he says they didn't do anything. Brandon gets stuck having to work at the Peach Pit all weekend, and befriends a young boy named Curtis who is homeless. After catching him try to steal money from the register Brandon does what Brandon will do a lot in the series, and that's help the needy. Alls well that ends well in Palm Springs. Dylan and Brenda make up, and continue on with their relationship. Really good fun episode though, and good all around work from the cast. MVC: Brandon (10), Brenda (8), Dylan (5), Kelly (4), Steve (5), and David (2moreless
