When Samantha Sanders is approached by producers to do a reunion show of her old sitcom, she is elated. The only problem is that she needs Steve to befriend her television son, Chuckie, which proves to be more than difficult. A fight with Chuckie and a suspension from school peak his desire to find his birth parents. Meanwhile, Donna decides to attend the dance with David.moreless

    "Good"
The holiday dance is right around the corner and the whole gang is making preparations. Donna is taking David, and everyone is giving her hell for it. Brandon doesn't dance, so he probably won't go. Kelly is going with a guy by the name of Chucky. This drives Steve nuts, because Chucky was a child actor on his mom's hit sitcom "Hartley House"; and generally made Steve's life miserable growing up. Making matters worse, Chucky reveals that him and nearly everyone else on the set knew that Steve was adopted, long before Samantha told Steve. This prompts Steve to punch Chucky out and get suspended from school (taking the punishment so that Chucky would sign to do the Hartley House reunion show). After a big fight with his mom, Steve decides that it's time to go try and find his real parents. Brandon tells Kelly why Steve punched Chucky out, and she promptly stands Chucky up to go console Steve. At the dance, Donna and David kiss for the first time, and Donna admits to everyone that she likes him. The show ends with the whole gang saying goodbye to Steve as he gets on the bus to go to New Mexico. Very touching moment. MVC: Brandon (30), Kelly (12), and Steve (13)moreless
  • Steve Sanders is adopted

    "Great"
This is the episode where the gang (except Kelly & Brandon) finds out Steve is adopted. The last scene where everyone sees Steve leave on the bus is emotional. 2000 Miles is the perfect song for this moment. I like how Kelly treats Steve in this scene, it shows how much she really cares for him. I find it funny how Brenda says "We love you Steve", when previously, Steve & Brenda don't really spend time together. If I remember correctly, everyone looks sad as Steve's bus is driving off, as if his character is leaving the show or something.moreless

    • When Steve steps onto the bus in the final scene of the original airing of the episode and in syndication the song that was playing was 2000 Miles by the Pretenders, but on the DVDs the song was changed.

    • When the gang is sitting around talking about Donna and David's odd relationship, Brenda's hand switches back and forth from being under Dylan's arm holding his hand to being at her side and it's very noticeable.

  • QUOTES (4)

    ADD QUOTES
    • Steve: I was actually thinking of breaking down and asking Kelly to the dance. I think she deserves another chance. Brandon: You're giving her another chance. Isn't she the one who broke up with you? Steve: Yeah. But I forgive her.

    • Brandon: I don't waltz, I don't rumba, I don't fox trot, I don't boogie, I don't dance. I don't even like to be in the same room with people who are dancing.

    • Dylan: If that's her idea of a platonic relationship, I'd love to see what she does when she gets physical.

    • Chuckie: I was telling Brandon about my life story. You were a part of it. Steve: Unfortunately.
