Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling appeared on the first episode of spin-off Melrose Place, which made it's premiere immediately following this episode.
The episode opened with Steve dreaming that he was held back due to poor grades. He described the dream to Brandon and gasped, "Can you imagine having to be a junior again?" This was an inside joke about the fact that the characters (except David) remained juniors the second season because the producers weren't ready to have them graduate.
