"Perfect Mom" is my favourite episode from season one. I love how we finds out that Kelly's mom is an alcoholic and addicted to drugs. I love how we see this negatively affecting Kelly. Jackie was so horrible at the fashion show. It was really interesting when Cindy catches Jackie doing cocaine in the bathroom. I love how Jackie decided to go to rehab at the end of the episode. Andrea was so beautiful in this episode. I love how Andrea goes to the the mother/daughter fashion show with Cindy and Brenda. I give this episode a 10/10.moreless

It is the annual mother daughter fashion show at west beverly high school and guess who is in charge the coolest hip, fun loving mother of all Jackie Taylor Brenda meets her and she think it's so cool how kelly is treated not everything is what it seemsmoreless

Annual Mother/Daughter Fashion Show at West Beverly sponsored by kelly's mom Jackie Kelly trys to warn Brenda that yes Jackie is cool but not everything is what it seems we learn Jackie is an addict and Bill Taylor hasn't been a big part of Kelly's life no wonder she is Caring,Smart,Strong,Independent,Fashionable,Rich So andrea tells Kelly how she admires her strength because she couldn't picture having a glamour girl life one minute and a dysfunctional one the next brenda learns to appreciate her family for what they are and jackie goes to rehab for kelly's sake maybe she is not selfishmoreless

Brenda is ashamed of her mother after meeting Kelly's mom, the glamorous Jackie Taylor. There is a mother-daughter fashion show coming up, and Brenda hurts her mothers feelings by not inviting her. Brandon invites Andrea to go along with his mom and Brenda, and the secret is exposed. At the show, Brenda learns that maybe her life isn't so bad with her mom when Jackie goes on stage drunk and embarrases herself and Kelly by messing up all the lines and adding her own comments in. Andrea walks out dressed up and Brandon realizes she is beautiful. In the end, Kelly doesn't want to go home and Cindy Walsh has a heart to heart with Jackie.moreless

Kelly's mom was a super model, and Brenda thinks that is the coolest thing ever. Brenda acts like an idiot throughout the episode, but thankfully it's overshadowed by a great storyline. Kelly's mom Jackie has a serious drug and alcohol problem, and Kelly has to deal with it. They have a mother-daughter fashion show which a coked up Jackie embarrasses herself, but more importantly, Kelly. This is the first episode where Brandon doesn't take a prominent role of any sort. This episode really lays the foundation for the deep rooted character that is Kelly Taylor, and it is also the first of several episodes in which Cindy takes the mom role for not only her own children, but for the other kids as well. Did I mention how brilliant I think Carol Potter is. Seriously, she doesn't get enough credit for the tremendous mom-role she plays. Anyway, alls well that ends well and the episode ends with Jackie agreeing to go get professional help. MVC: Kelly (2) and Cindy (5)moreless
